Can someone look at my IE snapshot , the number 10 appears. Why? Can I delete it? Thanks.

On my computers I do not see a number there.

So, I think I would try to remove it.

It certainly should Not be there, since that should be only Toolbars.

I see that you made the attachment after I posted... thanks!

 

Add-on toolbars are unnecessary and should be removed (except for the native ones within your browser which are customizable and somewhat protected).

 

They all advertise or promote one way or the other. Some gather information about you and report it to others for marketing purposes... thus compounding to problems (from a user point of view) for you., even the ones you think are legit because of the source. (even the AVG toolbar service is unnecessary... AVG is running anyway... by having a toolbar its always there in front of you encouraging you to use it). And others are flat out malware! They will gather and steal information. They all add unnecessary services/burdons to your system... just so you can have some easy buttons to click????:shock: Put your own buttons in your browser! Enough about that.

 

Please uninstall all toolbars you have... even the AVG one and delete their folders. Please make sure your java is up to date. Then re-install your IE. Then see if "10" is still there... then please post back and let us know one way or the other!

To get an idea about the unnown toolbar, before deleting, I would rather click on "10" to activate the Properties button and clicking on the properties button should reveal what it is.
