This computer has some issues in current state but has improved with some severe cleaning. Just looking for some suggestions as to anything else that could be done.

Thanks,

Steve

I have heard of issues that having too many antivirus programs running can cause conflicts. I would not have a problem with running more, just don't want to have issues with conflicts as I am the only one that will work to figure out what the problem is and sometime that could take a while if I am out of pocket.

G'day Mate!

I have IObit ASC Ultimate6 Pro and IObit's Malware Fighter v.1.7....AND happily getting along with MSSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) for quite some time now. Ultimate6 recognizes it and runs it's AV in 'compatibility mode' automatically.Strictly speaking MSSE isn't mainly an AV as much as it has excellent protection against Malwares of all types. Hope this helps you to understand what is going on a little better...and have a look at my Profile and what is in my multi-tiered system.

Cheers

Hi Stephen,

Your catalog system is corrupted, (are you getting updates?),

used to use a prog called sysinternals to correct errors like this

XP users please chip in long time since ive been using XP.

MCSTRM

in your cleanout i assume you removed Realplayer, its associated with this

no problem

Youve also turned off NVidia services

no problem

Not sure why AdWare timed out, you could try Malwarebytes,

IF THIS FAILS

Suggest you transfer this log to the Malware removal section after following the instruction in the subforum sticky. Its FREE

I also suspect ure using a second AV cause its got a better firewall, I would turn off everyelse bar that

If your only connected via ethernet,

you could turn off Telephoney and Wireless zero configuration

Roy
