There is Good News and There Is Bad News

First the bad news. Surfing Protection could not be installed on Firefox 46.0.1. Surfing Protection could not be verified by Firefox. See uploaded attachment

 

Now the good news. Windows 10 Preview build 14342 which is the latest for both the Slow Ring and Fast Ring has added an option to turn on "Periodic Scanning" for Windows Defender as a second opinion AV. I am happy to announce that this capability is compatible with IMF 4.1.0.2246

You can temporarily override the setting to enforce the add-on signing requirement by changing the preference xpinstall.signatures.required to false in the Firefox Configuration Editor (about:config page).

 

This workaround will no longer work for FF versions higher than 46 so unless Iobit complete the FF signing requirements then Surfing Prtection will no longer work.

No prob.....Firefox has extended the workaround to Version 47 so no problem updating to 47. Surfing protection will still work.
