WinFix doesn't launch

Recommended Posts

WinFix, the first option in the toolbox under "Security and Repair" doesn't launch when clicked.

Navigating manually to C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\Advanced SystemCare Ultimate\Sur13_WinFix.exe and doubleclicking achieves a UAC prompt, but no application launches.

Looking at task manager, the application appears briefly in the list of running processes and promptly quits itself.

Did you look in Windows Controlled Folder Access to see if it is blocking the function.

That feature is disabled/not implemented on my system.

I eventually had to do a clean install of WIN 10.
It appears that WIN 11 has a lot of bugs and incompatibility so I reinstalled WIN 10.

Reinstalling WIN 10 fixed the problem, but I do hope it's not necessary to have to reinstall windows every time this program is installed.

I cannot understand what you mean, that the Feature is disabled.

This Feature is part of the Tolbox, and it cannot be disabled.

It is obviously windows that is blocking it, so it would be necessary to figure out what windows process is doing the blocking.

I am betting on Controlled Folder Access.
