Deep optimize not all its cracked up to be

I've been using Smart Defrag for five or six months and have noticed a steady decline in its ability to arrange my blue squares contiguously at the front of the drive. Sometimes it will but, more and more it doesn't. I have version 1.30 and Vista Home Basic.

 

Has anyone else experienced this? I was very happy with this product when I first got it but now I'm thinking about looking elsewhere.

How many restore points are on your drive? Do you have hibernation enabled?

Do you have many automatic functions running or do you have many windows/programs open while doing your defrag?
