hmm how annoying... I dont personally have windows 7 but my advise would be try re-installing bitlocker.

i think thats the right thing, you would have to check. Just reinstall it, then do a windows update to be on the safe side and try again.

if theres still a problem after that will have to look into creating a file association. (can help with that if its needed, or someone will be able to)

good luck

incase its needed to create the association

view this link (second post) has some great instructions

I think the re-install should fix it though - will recreate what was deleted, if not it might still be required that you need to install it fully before you can create the associations manually (if more then the associations were removed).

Hi ASCISTHEBESTSOFTWARE

Have you read the manual on how to use the program?

Usage of IObit Programs in the Lounge section.

Specifically about the use of the Ignore list.

Cheers

Hi ascis

My supposition was that the system optimize function perhaps shut down that link if it wasn't looked at during the "repair" operation and then placed in the ignore list.

Other users may be more familiar than I on the usage of bitlocker.

Cheers

I already read those thing..there is nothing about bitlocker assocition

Have you tried to do a system restore to a point "before" you ran asc? That might restore it to where you were before. Worth a try.

unfortunalrty i didnt restore or backup.

When I go to controlpanel ,I can unlock the D hardisk but When I click on D hardisk ,it is giving me an error..because ASC deleted the bitlocker associtian.

Do you know how can i create an bitlocker associtian again ? i think it will fix the error

How can an association for bitlocker be created ?

This is the answer by Kumar Dinesh Microsoft support Moderator for the error message in post #1.

(1). As the error message clearly indicates, setting association for the file extension in control panel should fix this problem.

Here’s how:

Set your default programs :-

Use this option to choose which programs you want Windows to use, by default.

You can choose the programs that Windows uses by default

If a program does not show up in the list, you can make the program a default by using Set Associations.

1. Open Default Programs by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Default Programs.

2. Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.

3. Click the file type or protocol that you want the program to act as the default for.

4. Click Change program.

5. Click the program that you want to use as the default for the file type you selected, or click the arrow next to Other Programs to show additional programs. (If you don't see Other Programs, or your program is not listed, click Browse to find the program you want to use, and then click Open. If no other programs are installed that are able to open the file type or protocol, your choices will be limited.)

If you don't see the program you want to use as the default, click the arrow next to Other Programs to see a list of programs available on your computer

6. Click OK.

Additional information on other default program settings:

“Change which programs Windows uses by default”

(2). Also try these and check if that helps.

To turn on Bit Locker:-

1. Open Bit locker Drive Encryption by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Bit locker Drive Encryption.

2. Click Turn On Bit Locker. This opens the Bit Locker setup wizard. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Hi ascis

If you uninstall ASC - does bitlocker then work?

If not try a sfc /scannow

If so - then install it again (clean Install) and check ALL problems when you run it before clicking "Repair" to ascertain if any "Problem" should go to the Ignore list.

Hi ascis

Ok, so you want to emphasize your problem. It hasn't been deleted.

I suspect that it has been read by some IObit employee, and that they will find out what the problem might be. But perhaps not instantly :-)
