i read the many new users of this application,ASC having different problems..

so how to avoid this.

 

1 before installing,this would apply to any program".back up your system"

 

this will save you a lot of grief..please do not rely on restore points..

to many think thy are safe .and i read so many fail!

 

install a good back up program..first.then make a image of your c:\drive

ok ether save that to a flash drive,or a usb ,external drive if you have one..

2 make a rescue disk(that will boot) most back up application have this inbuilt..

 

 

when its done.now go ahead and add the application.install.

if for some reason if fails to do what its supposed to be doing.

not a worry.

reboot with your cd rescue disk and restore the image..every thing is put back to the c:\drive as you had it before you installed the,or new application.

and you can try it as many times as you want..

 

but remember to back up your pc..

Hi friend!! Nice thread!! Not bad for an old man:-D Very good advice, but I'm afraid it falls on deaf ears. We can keep preaching anyway, and maybe some will listen. I hope you are healing real fast my friend. I can't count the times Macrium has saved me from days of reinstalling my OS. I love my Macrium!!

i am using this version.as its working for me 100%

i may consider newer one later.but the same still apply's..

 

 

now please consider the way i think you should use ASC..could save you a lot of problems!

before you even run the application..make a image of your c:\drive..

when don ok run it..

why ccleaner? its more gentle cleaning the registry..and very safe to use .

follow its instructions carefully..when done run ASC.for deep cleaning the system..if so wanted..

please look at all of my shots and carefully read what i am pointing out..

please do not ignore my advice here..or be lazy when it comes to backing up your system with a image!!!!

most problems can and will be avoided.!!

 

consider this,never run a application for the sake of just to see what it will do..

be sure first..back up your system...then monkey about with any application..

and have fun useing a PC..knowing you have that back up image..to restore it before you ran a program..(INSTALL)

but please consider this? its free.and can be a blessing to have...

Gary has stressed this as i do also..

its so important as a weapon.to recover any System..from a application that may of gone wrong..or a mistake by us.the user.a simple back up to save the day!

i recommend this to any one .

 

now you and i can stuff up as we want .play around with applications

why we got this lovely back up to put back any we made!! and the system

is fully back to where it was ,a fully working system..booting windows..

 

by the way it will not effect the other drives .like d:/or any other drives.

change a thing on them..

its simply a fully restore of your booting drive..C:\

Hi

The backup message is an important one - possibly the most important one!!

If I write an important document in Word I hit ctrl+s after each paragraph I finish. I once lost an intire important document from a power failure and vowed that should never happen again.

The backup advice is 10 fold as important if you are messing about with the registry.

A program that makes an image of your entire disk (like Macrium Reflect) is the easiest way to stay out of/repair fatal trouble (computer-wise :-) )
