Trend IS Pro 2010 blocks AWC 3.7.0.721

Hi,

Trend IS Pro 2010 blocks AWC.exe when I select Repair as it detects AWC.exe trying to stop my security software from protecting my PC.

Screenshot and registry error report attached.

This has only recently started and it didn't happen previously.

Any ideas please ?

Hi freddy

My guess is that many security softwares rely partly on WOT (Web Of Trust) and that the rating presently there for IObit is in the low risk category. WOT themselves also partly rely on user feedback for their rating, and this can sometimes be faulty - if a group of people decides to make trouble for a particular company.

Your response here is fine - IObit will check it out I expect - but you could also yourself contact your AV provider and explain that this seems to be a false positive on their part.

Please have a look at Trend Micro blocking IObit sites. [sOLVED] thread.

 

IObit contacted them and it should have been solved with the latest update.

This is because the Trend IS Pro 2010 did not recogonize the AWC.exe, but it is not a false positive.

 

You could choose the Allow button and check the Stop warning you about this program option to solve this problem.:razz:
