Bootup Time Indicator

Toppack

Recommended Posts

I see that ASC-5 loads the little 'ASCService.exe' file at Bootup,

like it did in ASC-4.

I had disabled it in ASC-4, by renaming it, and was going to again in 5,

but I'm wondering if that is where the utility, that tells you the 'Bootup Time' required, is located? (Bootup Time Indicator)

If not, where is it loaded? (What service file?)

BTW- The time Indicator averages about 55 seconds, on this computer,

but the actual complete bootup time is much longer than that?

The 55 seconds must be only the Windows portion of the Bootup?

Well, I renamed it to ASCService.old and the 'Bootup Time' monitor did Not run at bootup,

so that must be where it is located.

That must be what it was supposed to do in ASC-4,

but did Not work for some reason?

(We could never figure out what it did in ASC-4)

To me it's like the 'performance monitor',

a fun Toy, but not something I need loaded at every bootup.

So it will stay disabled, until I need it.
