Does anyone use SODA PDF as the PDF converter?

If you do, do you experience problems with it after running Advance System Care Pro?

It looks like Advance System Care Pro deletes some SODA PDF files use to convert MSOFFICE documents to PDF format

Welcome

Welcome to the forum

I don't use SODA PDF so I can't check this myself.

Have you had a look in Privacy Sweep settings to see if SODA is listed?

• Launch Advanced SystemCare

• Click on More (top right corner)

• Click on Settings

• Click on Privacy Settings (in the left pane)

• In the right pane, scroll down to see if a SODA item is listed

• If it is listed, Untick the SODA item

• Click Apply

• Click OK

If it is not listed then the next time you do a scan:

• Click on Quick Care or Deep Care

• Click on Scan Now (do not select Scan & Repair)

• When the scan has finished, click on all Show Details (under problems)

• If you find an item you think should not be 'fixed' (a SODA item) right click on the item and select Ignore this problem

• Click OK

If later you find you want to remove an item from the Ignore List

• Click on More (top right corner)

• Click on Settings

• Click on Ignore List (in the left pane)

• In the right pane, select a category Tab

• Select the item you want to delete from the Ignore List

• Click Delete

Note: This only deletes the item from the Ignore List, it does not delete the item at this time. The item will probably show up in the next scan and can be deleted then.

• Click OK

All the best, woz of oz

Hi lplum,

Normaly, ASC won't delete the useful files in your PC.

In order to look into this issue, please kindly do us a favor.

1.Please try the rescue function of ASC and let us know whether it is OK.

Open ASC 4>> click the button "Rescue" >>choose one restore point (note: please set restore point to the time before the problem occurred)>>click "undo"button

2.Please send the Log folder and Backup folder to us so that we can further look into the problem.

Usual path: %appdata%\IObit\Advanced SystemCare v4
