Windows Security Center Alert (Win XP)

Windows XP Security Center does not recognize Advanced System Care with Antivirus (Beta) as an installed Antivirus program, so Windows cannot be used to monitor the state of the Antivirus program.

 

Windows monitoring of the antivirus program and state can be turned off manually. Users will not want to, or usually know how to, do this.

We have this bug in current version. Our programmers are working on this issue now. But it doesn't influence the use in XP system.

 

We can expect that it is going to be fixed in the next beta version.

I too was wondering about that in XP. As, W7 does not give that notification (That there is no AV program in PC), and even warns if the database is not updated in W7.

The program should be displayed in Windows 7 and give notification if it's not updated. If this is not the situation on your computer, how about try to reinstall it.

That's what I meant Cicely, Windows' Security Alert behaves correctly as it should in W7, but not in XP.

I think this problem is also present in Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

After installing ASC w/AV on Windows 8 CP x86, Security Center says the computer does not have an Antivirus.

Mine was on Windows 8 32 bit CP. Not sure if there's any differences in the Security Center.

 

I will reinstall ASC w/AV again on the machine and report back =)

Hi all,

W7 & W8 have both have problems in this area it is an MS problem, many people have referred to this in other forums, there advice uninstall and reinstall your AV.
