Empty folder as a threat [Will be SOLVED by next update]

Hi,

I installed ASC 5 Free and run quick malware removal tool.

Here is the result:

Item Name Trojan.Backdoor

Risk High

Threat type Folder

The size of this folder is 0 (zero) bytes. It contains several (about 30) empty folders.

Is it possible that empty folder is a threat and contains malware?

Hi Alonzo! Welcome to the Iobit forums!

Yes it is possible that a threat is contained in an empty folder. If the folder is empty then just go ahead and delete it!

Sincerely,

P.S. Before deletion please respond to Cicely's post as it may help Iobit improve their product!

Name of that folder is RarSFX0

C:\Users\JE1B0~1.VEN\AppData\Local\Temp\

ASC 5 Free v. 5.3.0.246

I zipped this folder and uploaded to virustotal

0/42

I moved it to \Downloads\ and run ASC - no problem

I restored it into \Local\Temp\ and run ASC once again - Trojan.Backdoor detected.

Is it FP?
