There are lots of posts already in the forum regarding this and similar issues.
As per the rules, you are supposed to search for posts/solutions and read faq's before posting an issue.
-
I have sent a PM (Private Message) to Cicely, the Iobit liaison person for the forum, and I have asked her
to assist you with this issue.
Please update us as to any progress or lack thereof.
-
Firstly...this is not a General Forums Item.
On this occasion I have moved it to the correct section of the Forum...Offers.
If an item is posted in the wrong section in future, it will be removed.
As to your issue: You are quoting your issue in $, but your payment link clearly shows the amount in E (euros).
Nowhere, do you show where Iobit asked for an extra $80. In order to assist you we need this information.
-
Please see the User Manual which shows you how to do this.
-
Did you search the forum for other posts dealing with this or similar issues and the solution(s)

Scannan, I don't think you get it. I as well as many others have complained about the untrustworthy and unethical insertion of malware and unwanted advertisements in your products. This is especially malignant when someone has paid for your software, thankfully I am not one of those people, and there are many better alternatives to all your products.
I've said my piece, moved on from your company's scammy/spammy software. Time do delete my account from your forums.
Yes, I get it perfectly well. I have never agreed with the advertising practices of Iobit, which I have made clear many times, and
which you would have known had you bothered to look.
But, I am quite used to the fact that some people just like to moan.

I have seen that you reported my post.
No! I am not playing around. I am not writing vaguely about a solution.
I am a Forum Moderator, and I am trying to help you.
We are not mind readers. We therefore have to try and figure out the issue from the info you give us.
Rather than wasting time complaining, if you would do the suggested tasks, and answer the questions asked, we may be able
to solve your issue.

When installing SD, do not select the default location. Select a different install location. Maybe even a different partition.
Also, try downloading SD from Majorgeeks.
-
Ok. Lets examine this.
You had SD, it worked fine. You updated SD to a newer version and it would not work.
You went back to the older version of SD and it still did not work.
So the issue cannot be with SD. It has to be with Windows or some other security program.
Did you check Controlled Folder Access....as your issue sounds like what happens when controlled Folder Access blocks access.

You have an issue. I am trying to help you. I have used Uninstaller for many, many years and have never had your issue,
no matter how large the amount being uninstalled. So, I did not say that it Cannot perform 100%, but rather I am trying to identify
a possible cause for your issue.
Yes you can uninstall smaller amounts (individual items).
Have you read the User Manual??

that is a large amount to uninstall in one operation.
Try Uninstalling in smaller amounts...such as two amounts of 50%.
Let us know if this works.

Same thing. Temporarily disable windows security install SD. If it works, then add it as an exception in Win Security.
Also, make sure that Controlled Folder Access in windows is not blocking SD.
-
Thank you for re-posting in the correct section. If your system is win 11 then it is most likely that windows security
is causing the issue. Temporarily disable windows security and any other anti-virus/malware program. Then download
the latest Smart Defrag from Majorgeeks, and install it. If it works then, you should whitelist it in windows security and any other
anti-virus/malware programs.
-
You cannot uninstall Windows Defender (windows security) it is part of the operating system,
So I do not know what you have done. I asked if you Disabled Windows Security....not uninstall it.
I imagine you will have to now repair windows or reinstall it,
-
Did you also disable windows security and then re-install ASCU
-
Thank you.
You are running windows 11 and this will not allow you to have more than one AV software actively running.
-
Do you honestly expect to obtain decent assistance, when you supply an absolute minimum
of information, and did not even bother to complete your Profile, so we do not even know which system you have.
-
I am sorry to hear that.
In the past, Cicely would always answer Users within a very short time, but unfortunately at present there is
no way of telling when or if she will answer.
I will also send her a PM pointing her to your issue. Please let me know if she responds to you.
-
Did you try rolling back the driver to the previous version that worked.
-
Your issue and similar issues have been dealt with already many many times in the forum.
A search (which you should have done before posting) will give you the solution.
-
You give very little detail, such as what the tasks are that you are trying to run when you get the pop-up.
Have you checked in your Windows configuration settings as to what program you have assigned to perform these tasks.
It is possible that you still have Roxio assigned as the preferred program for these tasks.

Let us know what happens.

If your problem is solved, you could at least post the solution/resolution, here, so that other Users may also be able to
use it to solve their issue.
