ASC 6 Pro installed to a folder NEXT to ASC 5 Pro

Hi,

Using ASC's built-in update manager, I downloaded and updated ASC 5 Pro to ASC 6 Pro. I went to Program Files and noticed ASC 6 Pro installed to a separate folder than ASC 5. All the executables are gone from the ASC 5 folder, so obviously ASC 5 won't function.

 

My question is, can I delete the old ASC 5 folder? Or is ASC 6 using some of the settings and/or log files in the ASC 5 folder? I hate having extraneous 'poop' files on my System drive.

A good way to Test, if you can delete a folder, is to First Re-name it.

(with a Minor change to name, so you can easily change it back, if needed))

Then if everything still works at it should, it is safe to delete it.

After you install ASC v6, you can manually delete ASC 5 folder.
