V6 on XP stopped working

installed v6 pro on xp a few weeks ago, worked well first time. went to use it again recently and would not run. Had do revert to v5.3 which runs great. Whats wrong with v6 pro that it doesn't run on xp?

Hello. My XP computer has what sounds like the same problem.

ASC6 will open and close, but does not respond to user input rendering it unusable.

Did you use V6 Beta3 before you installed V6 Final. I am running xp sp3 with V6 Beta 3 and have had no problems whatsoever. Runs like a dream.

I believe I did run the beta ASC6 for a while. when it didn't work, I reverted to ASC5.

 

HOWEVER, in the last 30 minutes, I have found a way to make ASC6 PRO work! (I am happy)

 

I uninstalled IMF1.6 and now ASC6 PRO works fine, lasts a long time. :lol:

 

Right now I am running ASC6 PRO plus MS Security essentials (includes anti-malware in addition to AV) on XP.

(My problem may have been caused by a conflict between IMF and MSSE. But that's just a guess)
