URGENT: Boot time defrag does not recognize keyboard, keeps computer from booting into Windows

Got a big problem. I configured a one time boot defrag. After defrag is complete, "ESC to exit " is displayed. But there is no response to hitting the ESC key, or any other key Keyboard is OK prior to the defrag, for BIOS etc. It is a USB keyboard. Have rebooted the computer several times but stuck in the same scenario every time. Computer cannot be used like this -- no access to the Windows at all. I just see the boot time defrag screen waiting for an ESC continue. Need to fix ASAP tonight for when user comes in the morning.

Does your mouse work. If it does then Open the virtual keyboard. If it works then press esc as requested. Then reboot and see if prob is solved. If not use virtual keyboard to access system restore to restore to a time before the prob occurred. if not try booting into safe mode to open virtual keyboard.
