Smart Defrag 3.0 crashes system (BSOD) after reboot for reboot defrag

System has been stable for a long time. I installed Smart Defrag 3.0 andwas able to defrag all drives. However, when I selected the Reboot Defrag, it looked like it was working, but upon the reboot, the main window came up and was active for a few seconds, then froze, then a light blue screen came up and a few seconds later, DSOD. I assume Smart Defrag is trying to load after the reboot. I retried many times with no change in the result. I finally booted in Safe Mode and uninstalled Smart Defrag 3 to get my system back up.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Please download the install the latest Smart Defrag 3.3 from http://download.iobit.com/defragsetup.exe to see whether the issue continues.

 

If it does, please take a photo and send it to us to show the freezes.

 

Besides, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/SDInfoHelper.exe

 

Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop. Please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Was the Iobit software installed on a different Operating System, such as W7 or XP. If so then it is probable that these versions of Iobit are not compatible with W8. Uninstall them and download the latest versions.
