Why might AdvancedSystemCareService12 be in Task Manager?

I don't have enabled any automatic services, i.e Auto RAM Clean, Auto Care, Auto Clean, nor AutoUpdate. In the latter I have enabled Check for updates we the program is launched, and Update manually.

If you launch ASC and then close it, the service will still be active. If you reboot and do not load ASC then the service will not be active.

Have a look in your Startup Manager to see if ASC is listed there.

Also look in your task Scheduler.

I have looked in Task Manager, and even when I exit (close) ASC, the task (process) remains in the Task Manager, and the service is running.

However if I kill the Task (process) in Task Manager the Process is gone and the service stops.

If you meant at 'ASC > Toolbox tab > Startup Manager > Services' to see if ASC is listed there, then yeah and I disabled it. In Task Scheduler it's not in the list of Active Tasks.

Ok.....so now when you reboot (and do not launch ASC) what happens.....do you have ASC in task manager processes and/or is the ASC service running.

Hello,

This is Cicely from IObit.

All the features in Protect need the service. By the way, if you install the latest Advanced SystemCare, you can opt it out in Settings.

Please feel free to contact us if any further assistance is needed.

Hi there,

This is Cicely from IObit.

Advanced SystemCare Service will be in Task Manager for those auto services, including Turbo Boost.

Cheers.
