Windows 11 sound vanished when I updated drivers

Hi!

I bought Driver Booster 11 recently and, as recommended, I updated all drivers.

When I rebooted, the sound was gone. Realtek doesn't work anymore and I tried every single thing I know, including older drivers, running troubleshooter, etc. etc. The only sound I hear comes from my monitor when I pick it in sound settings, which means there IS sound, it's just that I can't make Speakers or Realtek work.

Can someone help me how can I restore Realtek sound, please?

Thank you

This issue and similar issues have already  been dealt with many times in the Forum.

This is a help forum and as such there are rules. Such as....Search the Forum for similar issues/solutions before posting....

Read the Faq's.....Read the User manual (I suggest you do this as the sound issue is specifically dealt with in the Manual)

First of all, I did all that, didn't work.

Second of all, I was expecting more help, being a paying customer. I didn't download a pirated copy (which I could), I always pay for the software I use.

Third of all, rules are fine but a kind way of addressing people and issues is always appreciated.

You may have noticed that there is no one else rushing to assist you.

Also, this is a "Help" forum. We do not work for Iobit. We are just Users like you, trying to help fellow Users.

We are not "The Mind Readers" forum....so telling us that you "First of all, I did all that, didn't work."...after the fact, does not help.

If you "had done all that"...how come you initially posted in the wrong section of the forum.

Rules are not just "Fine"...they are necessary and important, Otherwise the Forum would quickly become unusable/unworkable.

It would have been "kind" of you to tell us that you had already done all that...then you would have got a "kinder" reply.

Dear Valued Customer,

For the sound problem, first please make sure that you have installed the newest version of Driver Booster from https://cdn.iobit.com/dl/db/debug/driver_booster_setup.exe. Then load Driver Booster >> click the Tool icon on the left side of the main screen>> select the tool Fix No Sound.

If the problem persists, please try the solutions provided in https://www.iobit.com/en/knowledge-how-to-fix-no-audio-output-device-is-installed-error-in-windows-10-133.php?from=mailfb to see if it can help you fix the problem. (Note: you can use Google Chrome browser which support translate the webpage or use Google Translate https://translate.google.com to help you understand the content)

If it cannot help, please download https://cdn.iobit.com/dl/db/debug/DBInfoHelper.exe >> double click to run this tool on the problem PC>> click 'Save report to Desktop' >> find db_info_YYYYMMDD.zip on your desktop >> send us the zip file to look into the issue.

Thanks.
