Hi Pablo

Could you be more specific?

Is it missing lines? Or is it that your translation fill more than the allocated space?

If the latter, please rephrase your translation to fit the allocated space.

Thank you!

Cheers

Hello,

I performed a test with IObit, to see the translation efficiency of the detection program.

But the program does not fully display the translation, I would like it to be resolved.

Hello Admin,

The problem is, the Portuguese, is the Brazilian or Portugal, using various adverbial conjunctions, and also the words are very long,

English would be: Threat Found

In Portuguese is: Ameaça Encontrada

But I will reduce the maximum possible translation.

Thanks for understanding.:-P

PS:New file translated

Brazilian Portuguese.lng

Hi Pablo

Great!

Usually there are many possibilities to make it short and succint.

In your example possibly Achar?

Hello Again,

Well if it was to put the verb Achar, looks like this:

Having identified threat, but Brazilian in the dictionary that word does not even exist and would be meaningless, especially for software.

then that would be:

Ameaça Detectada, Localizada, Encontrada.

The closest I could be

Ameaça Detida!, that comes from the verb detection

Hi Pablo

Ok - probably a word from Portugal then?

But wouldn't "Ameaça" be sufficìent? That would at least make it short! :-)

My feelings are that as long as the words convey the meaning of the function it doesn't matter so much if they are a verbatim translation.

But all is fine if you have kept your translations inside the allocated space for translations. That is the primary thing apart from the translations themselves. :-)

Cheers

Yes, it does matter, because if there is a string missing in English.lng, some of the other language files may include it. Have you tried the Turkish.lng?

Please give us a screenshot of the incident in another language, so we can understand exactly what you mean.

I will give you the missing string after seeing your screenshot.

If you are a translator for another language, please read the posts in this thread, you may find the answer to your inquiry.

Cheers.

Hi again. Of course it is not problem. It is only my observation and curiosity.

There are screenshots in diferent languages of Quarantine list. Polish, Spanish, French. The Word "Delete" is still in english. Turkish is ok! After choosing Turkish language "delete" turns to "sil" ...but after choosing another languages back the word is turkish this time...hmmm

Cheers.

OK babiniec4,

Please change the red part of the below bold string in your Polish translated file:

//Quarantine,Ignore

DeleteAll.Caption=Usuń

to below red part of the bold string:

//Quarantine,Ignore

DeleteSelected.Caption=Usuń

It is also wrong as "DeleteAll.Caption=Delete" in English.lng and should be "DeleteSelected.Caption=Delete"

The program reads it from the executable as English if the string is wrong or nonexistant in the language file.

After using Turkish, it caches it so reads it as Turkish. If you exit the program and run again, it will read it from the executable again.

I believe this will solve your problem. :grin:

Cheers.

If you are a translator for another language, please read the posts in this thread, you may find the answer to your inquiry.
As mentioned, the answer to your question is also in post #69 of this thread.

I have also another question... polish file is not included with "IObit Security 360" installer . Could you try to join it?

About Protected Folder program can we meet and talk on Protected Folder forum?

Regards.

Hi babiniec4,

I am not from IObit, so you have to send the file to support@iobit.com for the attention of Cicely, and ask IObit the same question.

They may or may not include it, it is their decision. :mrgreen:

I wonder if there will be another update to IS360 before they release IMF, which is replacing it.

About Protected Folder program can we meet and talk on Protected Folder forum?

Please shoot your inquiry in the Protected Folder section. :grin:

Cheers.
