I downloaded it, unblocked it, uninstalled the previous with Revo uninstaller, removed the folder and installed the new version -

(what we call a clean install)

I have no problems!

But then again I am using XP

And furthermore - I haven't yet seen an official announcement from IObit concerning updating this program, neither in the News in the program or on their site.

I started up IS 360 this morning, it said new version available, selected, downloaded installed new 1.3 no problems. Ran Smart Scan.

Took a little over 6 minutes to scan for 49,000 files, found my already ignored cookie and nothing else. Seemed to run fine. Did notice that ver 1.3 has only 137876 fingerprints using the #1280 definition version from Nov 13 - Previous version 1.2 had over 151,600 fingerprints. Still fine tuning, I guess, but it will get better!

I'm running XP also.

Seems like a valid point

But there may be quite new threats where IObit is the only one detecting them at the moment in the newest definition base, even if some definitions were pulled to appease someone.

So it is a bit debateable I think. Up to you -

Just my farthings worth :-)

I got a notice to download 1.30. I did the install and find there are NO updates since my last update on 11/13.

In update notices: Update details:------------11/13/2009 10:33:40 PM------------

Latest Definition Data(11/14/2009)(C:\Program Files\IObit\IObit Security 360\Addition.def) Updated Successfully

Anyone getting newer updates?

Well, I followed the step "clean install" of our dear Solbjerg, although it does not match my criteria of an "update" ... particularly as users are not necessarily specialists in micro-computer to perform this step ...

 

Well I'll stop teasing you, Soljberg :lol:

 

the scan works now ... The software is functional ;-)

Yes I know I have said it many times, - but it often helps - like restarting the computer often gets it running ok again.

(it sometimes makes my toes curl, but no matter, it may help some people)

OK guys,

The scan problem may be like the one in ASC a while back. I downloaded and the scan would not work. I went to Setting-Scan Setting and changed all the tick boxes under Extensions, clicked Apply, then went back and set them back to where they were and cliked "Apply" again. Scan is running fine now.Try it and let's see if it works for you.

I had the same problem. When the window pops up and shows v.1.3, click on the "Iobit IS 360 v 1.3 available" in the updates available box to select the update to download & then it downloaded for me.

Install the setup file from MajoGeeks on top of the installation of 1.3 which is stoping scanning (doesn't scan), the scanning should work.

Another Chinese product. There are many gaps. Yes, and feedback on your program is not positive. Can the product until the product is fresh and are of use only. Waiting for version 2.0. I think it is not far off.
