Cloud/Purgatory

Recommended Posts

I was wondering about the word Cloud (cumulus) (in Danish "Sky" or Skyen") that word doesn't readily explain it's function I think

Therefore I thought that "Purgatory" might more readily do that (Skærsild in Danish)

As it tries to sort between those going to hell (malware) and those going to heaven (false positives) :-)

What do you think?

p.s. the purgatory concept popularized by Dante Alighieri in the 1300 by his book "The Devine Comedy"

Hi Mr Bean

6 feet under is to deep if we are thinking ecologically :-)

But if we settled for 20 cm we would have bones laying all over the place. :-)

Hi Mr Bean

In opposite directions but probably both at the Milky Way :-) also depending on the time of day :-)

Certainly not at the Internet Cloud!! :-)

p.s. Perhaps Net-Cloud (internet Cloud) might suffice (Netskyen in Danish) or perhaps Cumulus (Kumulus)

p.p.s. "Sky" (Cloud) in Danish can also mean shy or shun or gravy and even skittish as well as cloud.

ok let say we walk outside right now pointed up at the same time

where are we pointing to and at what?

I realize that 'Cloud tecnology' is the Latest 'Buzz-word',

and I understand the possible advantages of it, to the software developers and to Tiny-Portable users.

BUT, it it seems to me that there is possibly a Big-Negative,

in having much of the required data on servers, that may be more vulnerable to Drop-outs, Down-time and to Security-breaches.

And some developers are going to Extremes, about what is left on servers.

I still prefer having all the Programs on our computers,

since we have no need for Tiny little Portables, that can not hold the data. ;-)

I may just be Old-fashioned, in that regard. :-D

let's buzz some more

Fly me to the skies

please check the files I send

you can sort their cloudy ways

and which to dump my friend.

Cloud is what you call yourself

and cloudy that name seems

but if you can purge the shelf

of all the malware reams.

We certainly will fly some more

to even up the score!

Cheers

solbjerg :-)
