Is anyone having "you are about to be logged off" error?

Recommended Posts

I've just recently upgraded from ASC 4 Pro to ASC 5 pro.

Suddenly, both of my computers with ASC 5 popped up with a

Notification saying you are about to be logged off.

They listed two different windows components crashing for the reason.

Just after these popped up, a small pop up in the right lower

Corner from ASC saying that it has finished some operations

That's why i think this is caused somehow by ASC. This happened

to both computers with ASC 5.

Please look into this issue. Thank you.

Here's the event viewer error log:

The Service Control Manager tried to take a corrective action (Reboot the machine) after the unexpected termination of the Power service, but this action failed with the following error:

A system shutdown has already been scheduled.

Hi yuniverse,

Please kindly help us look into this issue.

1) There is a new tool called "Auto Shutdown" in the Toolbox, please check whether you have set an auto shutdown at a point.:?:

2) Please help us confirm when does the issue occur. Does it occur after you do the scan and repair of Quick Care or Deep Care?

3) Please provide the Operating System of your PCs.

4) Please take screenshots of all the popups and send them to us, we will look into it.

We'd really appreciate your help!:-D

I should be the one to thank for you guys' help. So, thank you! :-D

1. Auto shutdown is not scheduled in the toolbox.

2. The issue came out of nowhere. I was browsing the web - without anything that I can consider triggering the issue.

3. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (both)

4. I'll try to make a snapshot next time it occurs. It only happened once each for the two computers.

Once again, thank you and I wish everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving~!

Pardon me?

I'm not sure what you're saying.

Anyhow, I'm not running turbo boost.

The error just happened to me again. I took the screenshot with "PrntScr", but the computer restarted before i could save it. Next time, I'll just take a picture.

The auto care seems to be the culprit. After displaying that it had finished the auto care, the error happened. It doesn't happen after every autocare, it seems, because the error didn't happen after the autocare yesterday.

If the computers are on a network and the users are Logged-in as Domain-users, that may be the problem.

Someone else reported a problem with Domain log-in users,

but there is no problem with normal log-in users, since they have more Admin rights than Domain-users.

Okay,...............

I can't think of anything else that could cause it then.

I personally have a 4 computer network and ASC on all of them,

with no problems.

Only one 1 of the 4 has the latest version of ASC-5 though,

I suppose that could have something to do with it?

Hi yuniverse,

Thanks for your feedback, we need your help to confirm which module cause this issue.:-)

There are five items under Quick Care: Quick Malware Removal, Registry Fix, Shortcut Fix, Privacy Sweep, Junck Files Clean.

In order to find which item cause this issue, could you please tick only one of the five items every time and let it scan and repair. Then to check whether the same issue occur.

We believe that with your help, we can get the issue sorted.;-)
