:evil: I did a scan and most of the windows registry was deleted I used undelete and restored everything that would restore but to no avail messege when I click on desktop icon is "no such interface"

Tried to fix with win disc but only option available is a full restore and thus I lose all my stuff.

some AWC works and I am using it and a few other links that work to get on line etc. any suggestions?

What is Last Known Good Configuration?

 

It's a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly. Every time you turn your computer off and Windows shuts down successfully, important system settings are saved in the registry. You can use those settings to start your computer if a problem occurs. For example, if a new driver for your video card is causing problems, or an incorrect registry setting is preventing Windows from starting correctly, you can restart your computer using Last Known Good Configuration.

Hi pinyon,

 

We are sorry to hear that you encounter troubles.:-(

 

Normally speaking, Advanced SystemCare won't delete the useful registry, please help us look into it.

 

1) You said,"only option available is a full restore", do you mean the system restore? And have you tried the Advanced SystemCare rescue?

 

2) Please try to find and send the Log folder and Backup folder to us so that we can further look into the problem.

 

Usual path: %appdata%\IObit\Advanced SystemCare v5

 

3) If you have done the system restore, maybe you cann't find the Log folder and Backup folder.:-(. Could you please reinstall ASC and do a system backup, then run ASC as before.

 

If it still cause issues, please send us the Log folder and Backup folder before you do the system restore.

P.S. You may or may not have Malware!!! The best way I can rule this out or in is if you follow these instructions... http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=6216

 

In your case... DDS will not run without you disabling your Comodo probably I think... so download the TFC, run it... then temporarily close ALL YOUR ANTIVIRUS/FIREWALL/ANTIMALWARE softwares Then run DDS. Then re-start your antivirus/antimalware/firewell softwares. Run DDS, and it will give you two logs... post the zip ZIP file here inyour next post, You will have to use the "go advanced" button at the bottom of your Message Box, click "manage attachments", find the file "browse", and then upload the attachment to your post...

 

If I see confirmation of malware, I will facilitate the removal. If I don't then gimmee a beer!
