  1. pronounciation Hi titou How do you pronounce "Darrieus" ? ( you know - the one with the vertical windmill) I like it best if it is pronounced in the language spoken in his native country :-) Thank you!! solbjerg
  2. Hi rpods Please do a "clean install" - the concept is explained in Usage of IObit Products (link in my signature) Essentially it entails uninstalling the program and then deleting its usually leftover program folder. Cheers solbjerg
  3. Hi trinhanhngoc I the newest version you have a function that can delete unwanted toolbars (ASC 3.6) Cheers solbjerg
  4. IObit Uninstaller Added this in Usage of IObit Products thread: IObit Uninstaller In the Menu line You can choose Uninstall with the options Standard or Advanced The logical choice is the Advanced option (you don't need this program for the standard way) Forced Uninstall command means that you can choose the application you want to uninstall by inserting the address of the program/application you want to uninstall. Manage Gives you the option to "Export your list of applications" - "Manage your Log files" - or "View your Restore points" On the left You have the options: All program - self-explanatory :-) Toolbars - List of Toollbar that you can choose to uninstall as you wish Recently Installed - List of the latest programs/applications installed Large Programs - List of large programs on the computer (Beware! some of them are essential for the functioning of the computer) Rarely used - self-explanatory :-) Windows Updates - List of Windows Updates (if the need should arise for uninstalling any of those) Cheers solbjerg
  5. Hi jdipippa It might - apparently a tactic Norton/Symantec has adopted (very unwisely in my opinion) The way to address it should be to contact Norton/Symantec and ask them to change that policy. Their answer for the time being is to ignore their warning!! IObit has contacted them several times regarding the issue - so the ball is squarely in the court of Norton/Symantec (from whence it came). (See the post by IObit Guy regarding this issue) http://forums.iobit.com/showpost.php?p=44810&postcount=2 Cheers solbjerg
  6. Hi Ted Really good question :-) Not many use pocket watches, so not many would be sent to the bathroom because the gesture was mistaken for a reference to a colostomy condition.:-) Cheers solbjerg
  7. Hi Tom Did you have the free version before? If so I would suggest a "clean install" - Please read Usage of IObit Products especially post number #2 and #5 Please read it all - also comments about duplicate file finder :-) Cheers solbjerg
  8. Boosting in Safe Mode Today I added a link to the thread/post Boosting in Safe Mode to the post Useful commands in Usage of IObit Products thread. http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=6346 Cheers solbjerg
  9. Hi viperbruno I see all translated. I do have the Pro version though. So where the free version probably says Pro (to send you to the home site to upgrade) it says Help by me and sends me to the home site Help desk. When translating the lines with %s in them try to only translate between = and %s I see no fault here by me there either. Cheers solbjerg
  10. Hi viperbruno "The translations are there but the program doesn´t read it." What translations? By me it looks as if everything is translated. There are a few places where the translation fills a little bit more than the allotted space - but it is just a minor thing. I changed one thing though in your file - I added protable=portátil because it was in the English file but not in your Portuguese file. Don't know if that meant anything?? Cheers solbjerg
  11. Ok viperbruno Sorry! All translators do it for free, we are all ordinary users. Cheers solbjerg
  12. Hi viperbruno No, I don't have to check anything I am a user and translator like you and was just trying to be helpful. There is a post in Usage of IObit Products dealing with translation and attachments. Most of the relevant information concerning these subjects can be found there (links in my signature) Cheers solbjerg
  13. hi alfalb Could I trouble you to place it in the language thread in IS360 - please. When you have copied it to there I will delete this post! I suppose you have sent it to IObit too? support@iobit.com Thank you!! Cheers solbjerg
  14. Hi nehaasen If you are really interested in the subject I have tried to find some information that probably relates to the functioning :-) This is some/a few of the commands in NtfsData.dll (a file in the SmartDefrag folder in Programs) At least it gives one some idea about how it works Tls → Thread Local Storage, Transport Layer Security Rtl → Run Time Library, Register Transfer Language or Transistor Logic, Raster Transfer Language FGetCurrentThreadId GetCommandLineA HeapFree éGetVersionExA HeapAlloc £GetProcessHeap ^TerminateProcess BGetCurrentProcess nUnhandledExceptionFilter JSetUnhandledExceptionFilter 9IsDebuggerPresent GetProcAddress GetModuleHandleA ¹ ExitProcess eTlsGetValue cTlsAlloc fTlsSetValue dTlsFree ,InterlockedIncrement (SetLastError qGetLastError (InterlockedDecrement VSleep $SetHandleCount ¹GetStdHandle fGetFileType ·GetStartupInfoA DeleteCriticalSection }GetModuleFileNameA ö FreeEnvironmentStringsA UGetEnvironmentStrings ÷ FreeEnvironmentStringsW ”WideCharToMultiByte WGetEnvironmentStringsW HeapDestroy HeapCreate ƒVirtualFree £QueryPerformanceCounter ßGetTickCount CGetCurrentProcessId ÊGetSystemTimeAsFileTime ¤WriteFile QLeaveCriticalSection ˜ EnterCriticalSection RLoadLibraryA #InitializeCriticalSection GetCPInfo ý GetACP “GetOEMCP VirtualAlloc HeapReAlloc ×RtlUnwind HeapSize uMultiByteToWideChar tGetLocaleInfoA ºGetStringTypeA ½GetStringTypeW DLCMapStringA ELCMapStringW KERNEL32.dll FQùH › èš ôš › ` p › #› @› NtfsData.dll FixupFilerecord GetLastWriteTimeByFilerecord GetRunlistByFilerecord Cheers solbjerg
  15. Turbo Boost Today I have added a description of Turbo Boost under Miscellaneous in the Usage of IObit Products thread. Cheers solbjerg
  16. Printable version Hi all Yesterday I updated the printable version of Usage~ in the post referred to in the thread . Cheers solbjerg
  17. Hi enoskype Weird - now it works in all instances, except copying the link and search for it from the address line. (That method was just tested because I have seen it used before by a member) Cheers solbjerg p.s. ZAC - goodnight
  18. Hi enoskype I went through all the links in both Usage~ and Contents and found no broken links using IE to send me to IObit.com forum links, - but did get the same message as garybear using Mozilla FireFox. If I then clicked on the link in that FireFox window it lead me to the forum and from there I had no problems with opening the links in the forum. They are links in the forum!! If I am not logged in - the last couple of posts are not shown??? Cheers solbjerg
  19. Hi enoskype You mean just bump it - and then delete completely the previous bump? Cheers solbjerg EDIT: Yes Sir, that's it. Now I have deleted my two post. Next bumping post can be deletable, so this post describes it all. Cheers. enoskype Ha-ha And I have removed them completely :-)
  20. :-) Mel White is not good I think :-) Yellow and black are danger signs (wasps and snakes) Orange is not very clear to read So I suppose that leaves Red But we should perhaps make it Bold? Bold Black a possibility too? Cheers solbjerg
  21. Well Mel It has to do with the posting, - we don't often add new posts to the locked threads but we do edit them from time to time - which is why they are placed "lower" as the setup places "new" posts on top. We will look into it and see if we can find a way to make it better. What is the color of important Help or attention? :-) Thanks! Cheers solbjerg
  22. Hi titou About 30 years ago I read some statistics that said that females on average had had 3 lovers in their life, while men had had 1½ (the half probably was the lower half) :-) According to your display of condomes hung out to dry - you must be one of those that make the statistics for men rise above 1 :-) Cheers solbjerg
  23. Returnil Virtual System I added this in Additional Utilities today: Returnil Virtual System http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=39011#post39011 http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=39012#post39012 Thank you Coldmoon!!! Cheers solbjerg
  24. Hi ian What settings do you have in Privacy Sweep, Junk files Clean and Automatic care? In Junk files Clean it does say to Scan for Windows Recycle Bin and Windows temporary files and IE Temporary files. Two options on how to do that Delete Windows temporary files older than 1 week and Enable Secure File Deletion DOD 5220.22-M (Slower) I understand that to mean that the secure file deletion should work on the recycle bin and on the temporary files. If they don't it will be important to make IObit aware of that fact. I do not myself feel the need to use the secure deletion function, so I have not checked it out. Thanks for bringing up the point! Cheers solbjerg
  25. Hi raledo Welcome to the forum! Just to be sure - you are talking about IS360? :-) To me it sounds more like ASC problems?? Please read the links in my signature Especially Usage of IObit Products in the Lounge section! Cheers solbjerg
