Adobe Help.exe is a Threat?? [SOLVED by February 04, 2013 ASCU database update]

Howdy - got a ASC U "Threat Found" notification (see attached)

 

I assume this is from the latest database update because this is the first time getting the notification.

 

Is this likely a ASC U mistake? An internet search offered little or nothing...

Have you uploaded it to VirusTotal and IObit Cloud ?

If you do so, please post the report links in this thread.

 

BTW, which softwares of Adobe are you using?

It may be the 'Adobe Help' folder that it does not like?

I do Not have that folder under the Adobe folder,

on two computers that I checked, that have both Photoshop-7 and Reader-9.

 

You could temporarily Re-name that folder, or the .exe file, and see what happens?

Thank-you - I use Lightroom 4 and PS Elements 10

 

its related (probably) to my PS Elements because its in my 32bit Programs Folder (x86) vs the 64 bit Lightroom Programs folder

 

VirusTotal shows no threat - thanks for the link

 

and Iobit Cloud reports "Safe"

i had something similar pop up re flashhelp.exe, on screen for a split second only,

no idea what program made the pop up had barley enough time to read it, different pop up to your screen shot.

 

[only have adobe flash,shockwave and reader installed]

 

only happened once a few days ago not seen it since.

We checked the file about Adobe Help.exe mentioned in your attachment. The issue do not happen in the latest database of ASC Ultimate.

 

Please update your database of ASC Ultimate to the latest to see whether the issue reproduces. If it does, please send us the related screenshot.
