Uninstall ASC ultimate?

 

Why do we need to uninstall ASC ultimate 6 to install beta 7.3? Does beta 7 come with anti virus? I do not want to lose my AVS just to test the beta.

yeah, not only do we have to uninstall our ASC U, but also - the new ASC7 b3 does not allow us to use our ASC U licence - so we do not get to use the Pro features...

 

Iobit - will you please consider a bypass for this issue for ASC U 6 users?

EDIT: Okay, ASC7 b3 eventually recommends that we download and install ASC U 6.1 so that we have Anti-virus... so now I have both again :neutral: :razz:

ASC7 SCAN: Strange registry key

 

While doing a scan, ASC7 Beta 3 System optimization reports the following missing registry key:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control WaitToKilloffoice Timeout

 

I added that registry key to the system optimization ignore list because the name " WaitToKilloffoice" seems a bit strange. I searched on Google for that registry key but found nothing. At first sight, it looks like a typo : "offoice" instead of "office", but I cannot found any Google results for a registry key named "WaitToKilloffoice", nor for a registry key named "WaitToKilloffice". The key was probably added before during a prior scan by ASC, and I deleted it when I found it while I was looking to change the value of a similar key to speed up Windows shutdown. After deleting it and running ASC Beta 7, ASC reported that registry key missing but I had ASC to ignore that problem and that registry key was added in the ignore list. I found no differences how my computer works with or within the strange registry key "WaitToKilloffoice" or "WaitToKilloffice". Must I add back that registry key?

Yeah, what you found is correct. Currently, Advanced SystemCare v7 Beta will not be recognized by IObit Malware Fighter, for it is still in beta. When The final version of ASC v7 is released, there situation will not exist.
