Tim,

First quick check.......

For Personal Edition:

Major Geeks link downloads version 2.4.0.727 (Edited 11 04 2007, version is 2.4.0.752)

For Pro Edition:

Version is OK (2.4.0.832Beta).

But, Security Defence indicates 4516 unprotected items.

It also clears the protection as follows.

2984 out of 17404 immunized items in SB&D are unprotected (detection update 04 04 2007).

209 of IE protection and 3074 of restricted sites protection (3283in total) out of 7363 in Spywareblaster are unprotected (database 3/26/2007).

Security Defense=>Show details=>Spyware Defense Analysis window:

"Select all" and "Deselect All" buttons do not function.

enoskype

EDIT:11 04 2007 Pro version 2.4.0.848 Beta is without Select, Deselect problems

Posted

Also.. is AWC ever going to be able to start up with computer bypassing UAC and stop that startup block?

Same problems as enoskype - Select all and Deselect all doesn't work as well as the immunized items.

Don't see too much difference here from the other version.. but its probably more under the hood.

I noticed a big difference in the registry scan. Came up with several things that were not there before. Also, The registry cleaner tool is there under tools. Also, the computer info (blue Details button) has been expanded (very nice!),

I have noticed that the "Boost with AWC" feature seems to be gone with v.2.4. Will it not be available anymore?

Hi Tim,

Same as samr here. Neither XP nor Vista has "Boost with AWC" feature.

Please give us the detailed numbers of the built of the version that you provide on the links.

It will help us not to download and install the same built more than one time.

As far as I know, at this time (01:45 hours(GMT+3) April 09 2007) , latest Personal is 2.4.0.752 and Pro is 2.4.0.848 Beta. Right? :?:

Please confirm.

Hi Tim, Hi Samr,

"Boost with AWC" function is suddenly back  :?: :!: in my last startup in XP. I don' have the slightest idea why.

Tim, still waiting for details of build numbers of setups of AWC supplied on the links.

Thanks.

Hello, this feature will be removed when you uninstall AWC. Also, it will apply when you "fix" the system analysis. That means if the System Analysis scans and no problem found, it will not be applied.

Minor Bug

Security defense showed I had some unprotecetd items so whilst the rest of the checks were running I went in to show details and tried to apply these manually. The select all didn't work. All items are applied going via the repair button after the complete scan though. Happened on both personal & pro betas. I have emailed this to the support team but thought I would post here in case anyone else found the same issue. In fact the Select All & Deslect All buttons don't appear to be working at all.

I am running on XP SP 2.

Today I installed AWC Pro V. 2.4.0.848 on Win 2000, and the System Analysis hangs up at the start of the scan. If I skip system analysis it runs through all other scans ok. Several tries on System Analysis and it hangs up every time.

Re-installed and working fine now.

Error Message Initialising AWC 2.4 Beta

The error message which is shown in a previous post came up as two lines on a plain grey rectangular box, which had no borders or headings.

As I have already loaded 2.4 three times and then had to reload V2.3, Ido not think I can bear to try again. I think my description of the box should suffice.

Hi bart97.

Here is a brief description of how to post the errorlog if you have one.

Click My Computer-then local disc C-then program files-then Iobit-then Advanced Windows Care and find ErrorLog.text. Right click on this folder and select "send to" and select "compress (zipped) file". This will create a zip file copy of the ErrorLog.text file in Advanced Windows Care folder. When you go to post on the forum, at the bottom click the "browse" button. Select My Computer-local disc C-Program files-Iobit-then Advanced Windows Care. Find the "zipped" copy of ErrorLog and click on it then attach the file. It will post the zipped log on with your message.

FireFox & TCPIP Optimizer and IObit Registry Cleaner Bet

Hello Tim

Good job on 2.4 - working great thank you.

I am guessing the IObit Registry Cleaner Beta that I downloaded a while back off the web site is the same version as the one included in 2.4?

How about the FireFox & TCP/IP Optimizer - is that in the 2.4 version or not?

Cheers

Stef
