  1. Hi Dark Frost There is a thread devoted to language translation and we prefer that the language translations are placed there, Thank you. It seems that enoskype has already left a translation into Turkish for version 3 beta in the Language thread a couple of days ago. His version has a couple of lines more in it, please take a look. Cheers solbjerg
  2. Here is the post for the bump, and to be deleted at next bump.
  3. Hi orish 1. the whole point of captcha's is to try to make it hard for spam-bots to register - if viewed in a larger font or a higher zoom it may be easier for you to read the signs hopefully. On the other hand many spam-bots have found a way to beat the captcha's, so maybe they are not necessary - at least in the current form - anymore. 2. Optimization is not the same as defragment By the way if you count the number of small squares in the defragment window and divide that number into the capacity of your harddisk you will see how much space is allotted to each square. Optimization is mostly concerned about saving resources. (sorry - I was thinking of the optimization in ASC) The optimal placement of files on the disk builds on the fact that the higher speed at the outer rim of the disk and the fact that about the outermost 1/3 diameter of the disk holds about 50% of the disk's capacity. The disks normally rotate with a speed of about at least 120 revolutions per second. Therefore it should in theory be best to place the most used files close to the outer rim to have the fastest access to them - but we are talking very very small fractions of seconds here. The colour of the small squares does tell you if a file is free of fragments, but it doesn't tell you how much room the data in that specific square holds - it could be a small fractions of what that specific square is able to hold. If you want to know where every bit of data is every millionth of a second and have a report that tells you that I am afraid that the program would get extremely bloated. :-) p.s. in my opinion it is not good to defrag large videoes - I always keep them on another drive that I do not defragment (at the moment I do not have any videoes other than a couple of small home made ones) On the other hand if you choose the setting that do not defrag files over a chosen size they won't get defragged, but will then show up as black squares in the defrag window. ;-) Please read enoskype's thread "Thinking about defragmentation" (link in my signature) Cheers solbjerg
  4. Hi Awesome Do you have java Quick Starter started and on automatic in your services.msc ((paste in Run) and do you have Java unticked in your Privacy sweep? Cheers solbjerg
  5. Hi oeholmes I think you should check your services.msc in Run and find recommandations for the settings on the BlackViper site. For example Window Time doesn't seem to be started If you suspect a virus - then try running an online virus scan with for example Eset. Cheers solbjerg
  6. hi awadh :-) version beta 2 is already released :-) StartMenu8 Beta 2.0 is released. Cheers solbjerg
  7. Hi m1midan Please check your settings and configure them to what you want the program to achieve. Please do so before you make use of automatic functions Cheers solbjerg
  8. hi Phaewryn UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is to all practical purposes the same as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) GMT utilizes our trip around the Sun to pinpoint time. UTC utilizes many atomic clocks (about 70 I think) to do the same, they are not all in precise accordance, so they use the average of those clocks to pinpoint time. (they add or subtract a second or two most years - mostly add) Your GMT/UTC should be -5 At the moment where I am on standard time and you on DST time is is 5 hours between us until this coming Sunday when it will change to 6 - Denmark is GMT+1. I live practically on top of 15°E longitude. Cheers solbjerg
  9. Hi eson Knowing the program and where the strings fit in is in my opinion more important than if the English text is precisely correct. The important thing is that the translation conveys the correct meaning, in my opinion, not if a specific word is translated in accordance with a dictionary. :-) Sometimes the sentence structure or the spelling and even sometimes the use of a wrong word illustrates that the English text is written by Chinese programmers. :-) Years ago I sent an English translation file to IObit to try to correct the obvious errors in the original file, but I am not sure that they used it. :-) Cheers solbjerg p.s. There is a difference in the amount of work required if you have to translate 250 word or if you have to translate 21.000 words. It is not more difficult - but it takes a longer time. :-)
  10. Hi Phaewryn One possibility may be that there is a difference in when the daylight saving time is starting/ending in your computer and when it is starting/ending in Vermont. In Vermont I think it ends 4. of November this year - in Western Europe it is the last Sunday before November at 03:00 (24 hour notation) (ergo 1 week later for you) What it is in your computer is possibly open to change of settings? Control Panel: International settings and language settings I think. Actually it is Date and Time you have to open and under Time zone tick the box automatic shift to DST First though select your correct time zone. Cheers solbjerg
  11. Hi Kacaouet Only translate the text to the right of = Otherwise the programs wont understand Please read : http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=39229#post39229 Cheers solbjerg
  12. Hi I have counted the words that needs to be translated in StartMenu and it comes out as less the <76 as far as I can see. Quite an easy job I think :-) (15-30 minutes perhaps all in all) Cheers solbjerg
  13. Hi rebel I think it best to only run one antivirus at a time. Cheers solbjerg
  14. Hi The application is still in beta, but I think it is possible to "fool" the program. Copy the existing English.lng and place it temporarily on your desktop and rename it to OriginalEnglish.lng Copy the content of your translated file and paste it in the folder in the application called English.lng (remember to mark up all the previous content first.) That worked for me with another IObit program in similar circumstances some years ago. Cheers solbjerg
  15. Hi danste Well - we do not speak Romanian - but go ahead. If I were you I would create a Romanian.lng file in the language folder and see if it looks alright when using it in the program - leave the untranslated part in English. Cheers solbjerg
  16. Hi jalal Did you read the description on how to translate and send the translation? http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=39229#post39229 In the meantime you can insert the translation file in your own program/language for your own convenience :-) Cheers solbjerg
  17. Danish language file for StartMenu8_ASC I translated this nice addon into Danish Attaching it Cheers solbjerg
  18. Hi Toppack Perhaps a simfarm player? :-) Cheers solbjerg
  19. Update Hi It is true that Usage of IObit Products needs some updating, BUT almost all that is written there are still valid and useful. Cheers solbjerg
  20. hi Scannan When closing something completely down I do not see it as strange that it should be turned on again to work. The machine is turned on but you usually turn on programs yourself afterwards, right? Would be nice with a program that wrote your articles by itself if you just started the computer though - or would it? Cheers solbjerg p.s. there was something like it in a post in SmartDefrag section about an icon in the system tray.
  21. Ok Guepewi I just tried the language file from Tools in ASC in my Notepad++ I see no problems there either. My standard Notepad also exhibits no problems http://forums.iobit.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10448&stc=1&d=1348595519 This is how the German program window for Tools looks like by me. Cheers solbjerg p.s. I thank you kindly for your kind attempt to be helpful, it is commendable!! :-)
  22. Hi Guepewi (Willkommen) As Scannan mentions please write in English . fx. use a translation service to translate if it is too hard for yourself to do. This is after all an English spoken forum. About Sarakael's translation - I see no problem with ß or the umlauts, vowel mutations, diacritical marks or what you choose to call them, here by me. So I wonder if it isn't your own settings that needs a bit of attention. Let's see what Sarakael has to say on the subject. Do you view the file in a notepad that isn't coded in unicode? Please try looking at the file in WordPad. Cheers solbjerg
  23. Hi Toppack :-) :-) :-) We have seen many times that people are having trouble with defragmenting because they have a lot of videoes on the same drive. If you have a lot of space it is perhaps not necessary to make a partition or buy another harddisk for that purpose, but consider a person that have 3-400 videoes, they will perhaps have totally filled up a terabyte of their harddisk, - some people keep everything they see. I have a 60 GB harddisk that have 60% free space - and it is by now almost 12 years old - if I had saved videoes it would not even have had more space after 1 year.. And it would be a very handy way to move those videoes, don't you think? Cheers solbjerg
  24. Suggestion for Iobit Hi IObit I wondered if it was possible to have a function in the program that could move videos to another drive (external or large sticks) - possibly likewise pictures or other very large files, before running a scan? Possibly a pop-up that presented you with that opportunity. Perhaps it could be in ASC too? Cheers solbjerg
  25. Hi FatalError Have you tried to right click Start choose Properties and the menu start and then the button details (if that is the name in English) and remove the tick in Network connections and Administrative tools. ( I do not see it as a fatal error ;-) ) Cheers solbjerg p.s. If you do not experience trouble with some function you should not use the Win Fix application in my opinion. Some of the applications in the Tool box demand that you are very careful and know what you are doing. It was originally intended for knowledgeable computer geeks that could carry the tools around on a stick and use it to help fix problems for friends and other people
