Disk Scan did not capture the 2 external drives I have connected to my machine. (HP SimpleSave & Western Digital Passport Essential) It only scanned partition 1 of my main hard drive where the windows operating system resides. It did not scan partition 2 that I have dedicated to data.

First, check that Windows 7 recognises your external drives (see attachment).

Second,,, how can you tell that it only scans the first partition. Is your second partition seen as a logical drive (ie..D:) or is it seen as a dedicated extension of the C: drive

I think the 'Disk scan' in the 'Deep care' section Only does the C: drive.

You can use the utilities in the Tool-box section to scan other partitions and drives.

Yes. To be more precise, Disk Scan in Advanced SystemCare only scan the system drive.
