  1. I am trying to understand why you would tell the program to disable those notifications, and then complain that you do not receive the notifications.

I think you will agree that it is quite confusing.

There is no way that I know of within the program to undo what you did, unless you had first created a Restore Point.

If you did then you can click on settings in the program...select System Restore....and restore the system to a time before you disabled the notifications.

If that does not work, you can go to Notifications in Windows, and turn on the notifications for the programs you want.

  2. It always amazes me how it is always the people who moan the most are also the ones who do not even

bother to learn about the programs they put on their pc's. As an example, you could not even post in the correct area

of the forum, so it is pretty safe to assume that you probably screwed up the driver update also.

If you want to be taken seriously, then behave sensibly.

paid for Iobit product and my purchase went through "2checkout Support."  I received an activation code that did not work. Below is the email sent back to me with my original email. After a few tries, I gave up and accepted I've been scammed.  See email....

This is not a General Forum Item.

Look in the Forum homepage, and you will see the Topic that deals with these issues, and the solution.

  4. Another confusing post....read it again.....

You say you want to purchase ASC 15 Pro....but then you say you have ASC 15 Pro.

So, I am going to guess what you are asking,

The Uninstaller is not part of either ASC or ASC Pro

Driver Updater is not part of either ASC or ASC Pro

Smart Defrag is not part of either ASC or ASC Pro

Software Updater is part of both ASC and ASC Pro....but with Pro you can automatically update all software.

I think you can be a bit more sympathetic to an inconvenienced customer with an obviously valid concern

I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion, regardless of how little help it provides. But, maybe you have nothing better to

    do, than critique others.

I am quite satisfied that I provided the only assistance available to me, as every other query regarding iTop has been dealt with, by Iobit

advising the User to contact iTop.....which you would have known, had you bothered to read the other related posts/topics.

    Hi there,

First of all, it is our great honor that Driver Booster is picked when our users need to update the driver for the PC performance.

Even if we try our best to minimize the risk by testing the drivers carefully, no one can promise that all the drivers can works perfect on each PC. Due to the difference of system environment, the result may be different from the same driver update. Moreover, Driver Booster doesn't produce any drivers and it just provides the drivers from Windows and PC manufacturer. Thus, we strongly recommend all create a restore point before the driver update so that the system can be restore to a point before what unexpected happens. Once we find one driver cause issues, we will exclude the driver from our database immediately.

    Your understanding is highly appreciated.

To be fair to all the Users who have posted here, I have to say that this is an extremely unhelpful answer.

To recommend creating a restore point as a solution to this issue is quite pointless, when the Users have made it quite

clear that they cannot Boot their pc, that they get Inaccesible Boot Device, so obviously a restore point will not help

if the pc cannot be booted or the drive accessed.

There is obviously a serious issue, with either the DB program for certain system setups, or with bad drivers for these systems.

It appears to be affecting SSD's (M drives), so I really think that this needs indepth investigating by Iobit.

  7. The program is doing what you ask it to.

You probably have all the options selected in the Scan screen, and then you probably just tell it to fix everything it finds.

But....if you read the User Manual, you would quickly see that the System Optimisation is most likely the reason for your issue.

So, un-select that option and then run a scan and see if the issue still occurs.

That is not Controlled Folder Access....that is Windows Security main page.

On that page...click on Virus & Threat Protection....then scroll down to the bottom of that page to...Ransomare Protection....and

click on Manage Ransomware Protection.....that will open Controlled Folder Accesss.

I downloaded iObit Uninstaller 11.5 from Majorgeeks.  That also displayed the original unins000.msg file missing

    Any other ideas?

I did disable Norton before trying

The only thing that can cause this, is either Norton or Controlled Folder Access.

One of them is removing/blocking the file. Maybe Norton is not fully disabled.

  10. I am sorry, but I have never seen Green Ticks on Controlled Folder Access. I sounds to me that you did not open controlled folder access

directly from the search as I explained.

When you click on the Magnifying Glass in your taskbar, and you type in Controlled Folder Access, you will get a bunch of options

you just click on the Controlled Folder Access option. When Controlled Folder Access opens you will see the option...Block History....

If you click on that it will show you the items that Controlled Folder Access has blocked....you expand each one and see if DB is one of the items...

if it is then you can Allow it.

  11. Controlled folder access is completely separate from antivirus/antimalware.

If you type controlled folder access into your windows search (the magnifying glass icon) in your task bar, you will be able to open it.

Have you checked Norton to see if it has blocked/removed/quarantined DB.

You can uninstall/reinstall DB, but if the issue was caused by your antivirus/antimalware or Controlled folder access, you will

just have the same issue again.

You can uninstall DB with Windows Add or Remove programs or download Iobit Uninstaller (from Majorgeeks site).

Then download DB again (from Majorgeeks) and install it. If you are prevented from downloading DB or Installing it, then

you need to temporarily disable Norton and download/install DB. If it works then, you need to put DB into Nortons Ignore/Whitelist

to avoid the issue occurring again.

  12. You have posted two issues.

    1) Driver Booster is not working.

    2) It will not uninstall.

Both of these issues are probably related. Most likely either Windows Security or your Antivirus/antimalware program

has blocked DB. First check in Windows Controlled Folder Access to see if it has blocked access to DB.

If not, hen check your Windows Security or your Antivirus/antimalware program to see if they have blocked/quarantined/removed DB files.

  13. I note that you were very quick to point out the bad service and lack of interest from peers on the forum,
Yet, when you did receive assistance from a peer, it seems that you did not think it even worthy of a thank you.

Any number of things could have caused your issue...such as a windows issue or an antimalware/anti-virus issue.
So, actually blaming Uninstaller itself, is unwarranted without knowing the actual cause.
