optimisation bug

Hi Cicely & programmers,

Ran optimiser Browser settings Firefox.

It caused FF to check add-ons before loading FF, GUI shown on desktop.

and also brought up Thank you for loading the latest version as my "homepage".

Both can be cleared

Check add-ons, cancel option is shown.

Thank you page just close window.

I reset FF using their restore facility and the bug is gone.

OLD FF data attached please tell me which files you need to look at

Still too small to read.

and resolution too low to expand.

It needs to be about 700 or 800 pixels high.

It's only 280 pixels high.

 

Here's a pic that is 700 pixels wide, for comparison:

Please run the optimization for Firefox again. If the problem appears again, please find the files in red rectangle, namely, prefs, user(BK file), and user(script file). Then please send them to avfeedback@iobit.com.

The biggest problem I have with all these optimization programs is that they don't give you enough detail or a link to enough detail to really understand what the optimization item is doing and what else it may affect in your system.

 

Unless you are a big time Geek:-) ISTM that optimization features are too risky to use and worse yet any benefit is not quantifiable as too improvement in system performance usually vs a feature or two lost for each optimization.

 

Not saying if there is a bug that it shouldn't be looked into. Just making a general comment about the use of optimization.
