In my haste to congratulate you I apparently made my sentence ambiguous. Sorry about that ;-)

 

If you can run the 1500 m in less than 6 minutes I will be impressed!!

(15 km/h)

My best result 45 years ago was 5 minutes (18 km/h)

Your bronze medalist did it in less than 4 minutes (~23 km/h)

 

You may be right that the women are the real wolfs and the men the sheep ;-)

 

Istanbul is a large city and in my opinion deserves to be considered for host to the OL.

 

Have earthquakes ever done damage to the suspension bridges over the Bosporus?

EDIT: No, not at all, both of them are designed to cope with much higher magnitude.

By the way I think I read somewhere that the rail tunnel under the "cow ford" would be finished this year?

I thought railway under the "ox-ford" :lol: would be finished on October 29, 2013! And the tunnel for traffic in the end of 2014.

You are the one with the finger on the pulse, - what I read may have been the original estimation of constructing time? It was some time ago - so I could also be remembering incorrectly :-)

 

P.s. ox - ford is perhaps better, but I was thinking about the heifer Io from the Greek mythology that crossed the Bosporus - eventually ending up in Egypt - where Juno (Hera - wife of Zeus) let her assume her original shape. (So cow in that context to my mind was more apt I suppose)

Jupiter (Zeus) had by that time probably already found a new "girlfriend" :-)

Ahhhh... remember the good old days? We finally got the sport admitted in the 92 Olympics!:smile:

 

I still am not a very strong swimmer. :cry: I think I cost us the gold. :shock:
