  1. Switch off Anti-Tracking in Protect area, and see if that solves it. If not try switching off AI mode. Here is the Product manual ........https://www.iobit.com/product-manuals/asc-help/#Protect
  2. You came for advice. You got it. The choice is yours.
  3. When you first got your computer you checked your Intel drivers (only) and they said to update 2. So, the sensible thing to do is to listen to Intel. In fact, you should always go to the manufacturer for any driver updates, Also, a lot of tech people recommend leaving drivers alone, unless you have issues. If it's not broken.....don't fix it.
  4. Hi ddfdesign You are being very kind in your thanks, considering that Iobit did not help you really. As usual they had you do all their investigation for them and then gave very little in the way of help. Sadly, we in the forum have no influence on Iobit, regarding their failure(s) to assist users. I would suggest that you would have better luck either on a Surface Book forum, or simply googling....Surface Book Camera not working or Surface Book- Intel ® AVStream Camera 2500 not working.I say this because there were a lot of issues with Surface Book machines due to Windows Updates this year. Also, try opening Device Manager, go to Imaging Devices and uninstall any drivers there. Reboot and allow windows to reinstall it's generic Drivers.
  5. If AVG/Avast/Malwarebytes etc....are not willing to remove the false positives, then there is not much anybody else can do about it.
  6. Sounds to me like you have been scammed. Never heard of google doing such a thing. You certainly do not need a company for this. There are many free and cheap VPN's available. Have a read of this...https://blog.malwarebytes.com/101/2016/07/how-to-protect-your-ip-address/
  7. Then, if you strongly want to use the latest version, I recommend that you download it from Majorgeeks, Then, when it is installed, only enable one function at a time and test, so you can see which function is causing the issue, It is most likelt one of the functions related to...Auto Ram (which I recommend not using) or System Optimisation...or Internet Boost.
  8. So, if there was no problem with the previous version, then why not install that again....
  9. Firstly...this is not Our software.......it is Iobits Software.....this is a help Forum and we are volunteers trying to help users. If you go to the News & Offers section of the Forum, you will see that the link(s) to download the products are for Majorgeeks. The majority of companies, use third party re-sellers to market their software....and these third parties often add their own ads/pups to the download. That is why most sensible people do not use automatic update, but rather go to a reputable site to download updates. So, hopefully you are now clear. No point in trying to hassle Iobit to change their policies, because they will not. We have tried.
  10. Iobit uses various third party sellers....in your case it is http://www.netzwelt.de.....and some third parties add their own marketing/ads to the download. If you go to the News & Offers section of the Forum, you will be directed to Majorgeeks. I suggest that you download Driver Booster from Majorgeeks, as this is guaranteed to be clean. https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/iobit_driver_booster.html
  11. It is in Main Features/Speed Up https://www.iobit.com/product-manuals/asc-help/#Speed-Up
  12. The software can lead to a bad source because Iobit use third party re-sellers, who can add their own ads/pups.... Majorgeeks is the only really trusted site. As regards your problem, as you have disabled windows defender, it would be a good idea to look into your Controlled Folder Access. People forget about this, and it can be very aggressive in blocking a programs access to the necessary folders. I know that it reacts to Iobit files, as I have had to open Controlled Folder Access and allow some iobit files to have access. Worth a try. The other thing to try if that does not solve the issue, is to try installing the program(s) in Safe Mode.
  13. I agree completely. Windows does a good job of managing both HDD and SSD. You should however ensure that your disc management settings in windows are set to suit your system. Here is a good article.... https://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-tip-defrag-secrets-for-hard-disks-and-ssds/
  14. Unfortunately, I cannot say that. Only Iobit can answer that, and as you can see they are not interested. I know that they have stated in the forum previously that the program will recognise an SSD and will not defrag it. So, best not to take the chance, and just ensure your settings are correct.
  15. Well, I imagine that your ssd is still working, so we can assume it has not been ruined. SSD's cannot be defragged, they are Trimmed, so I doubt that Disc Optimisation tried to defrag your SSD. So, obviously, the sensible thing to do is to make sure your settings are correct.
  16. Where did you download them from. You should only download from Majorgeeks. Most likely your antivirus/antimalware programs are causing the issue.
  17. Just go into the settings and change the disk type.
  18. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the file. Different anti-virus/anti-malware companies have different criteria for what they consider PUP's, Avast obviously has decided that it does not like the file because it launches itself without user input. Either put it into the Avast ignore list, or just let Avast delete it. It only tells you when there are new upgrades available.
  19. I would highly recommend that you do Not even consider doing this (even if it is possible). Updating drivers can cause severe issues and in particular updating multiple drivers at once and even more so using a third party driver update program. It is much safer to download a new driver to one machine at a time and then if there are any issues, you do not risk crashing every device at once.
