Note that my hard drive was taken from a separate computer (that I got at Walmart, it was an e machines) . I built this computer myself. (First time) I'm pretty sure its due to the hard drive being from a different computer with a different graphic card etc.

Does that mean that you have done this recently and you have had this problem from the first time you booted up...OR...did the system work for a while and then this problem occurred.

I see from your event log that it reports on events on two different days..1/18/2013 and 1/20/2013. There are different events reported on each day, in other words there are no common events. Did you run the pc on 1/19/1013.

It ran for quite a while, this only recently started happening, but it is getting more frequent. Yeah I ran the PC on the 19th? Isn't that today?

Seeing that it had been running fine for a while, it is unlikely that the problem is because the drive came from another machine.

Your question "Yeah I ran the PC on the 19th? Isn't that today?" is answered in your Diagnostic Event log, where it shows 18th & 20th.

I see that you also have CCleaner. Are you running both ASC and CCleaner.

If so, it is not a good idea, as they may conflict with each other, especially regarding the registry. So it would be best to use only ASC for now.

Seeing you have Malwarebytes, I will assume that you have run it and found no Malware. You do not show any Antivirus program in your system info. Do you have an antivirus program and if so which one and did you run it.

Please check in your ASC settngs and ensure that Deep Clean (in registry fix) is disabled (unticked).

Now, in ASC Expert Mode run the functions which are marked in the attached printscreen. Run them one at a time and allow each one to complete and repair before running the next.

When these are finished, close all other applications and run a disc defragment.

See if your system is now running better. If you still experience the blue screen problem, then run the Disc scan in ASC Expert mode.

Let us know how you get on.

I don't have any anti-virus software on my computer. I don't do a lot of browsing etc. I use my computer mostly for gaming. If you have a free suggestion, I will look into it though. If it doesn't interfere with MwB or ASC. I've also uninstalled CCleaner. I was using both of them. I've done all you asked with ASC. Making sure deep clean was unchecked etc. Will post again if it crashes. Hopefully this will resolve the problems. Thanks for all the help.

It is extremely important that you have an antivirus program on your pc. It does not matter how much you browse, as a virus can enter your pc if you browsed only once. There are so many viruses now that you must have AV,

As this is an iobit forum, I must point out that there is now a version of ASC called ASC Ultimate 6, which has an antivirus and an anti malware built in along with all the usual functions of ASC. It works fine with Malwarebytes.

It is not free, but you would get it at a discounted rate because you already have ASC6 Pro. Please see the News & Offers section of the Forum.

There are plenty of free Antivirus programs, such as AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials... both of these work fine with Malwarebytes. However if you google free antivirus programs you will get quite a list of offerings and info to help you decide.

Downloaded AVG for now, till I get money to buy ASC ultimate. Scanned with it, and I don't have a virus thank god. I may not be super tech savvy, but I've still yet to get a virus. Probably thanks to Adblock plus and no script add ons.

Hi Scannan,

It may be good idea to use Bluescreenview to find out what has caused the bluescreens.

FYI, I have been using CCleaner since the invention of ASC (AWC) together with ASC (AWC) without any single problem in many PC's with different OSes. I find it a good companion to ASC and some of the registry cleaning part cares for different issues compared to ASC. Using CCleaner's registry cleaning before ASC's registry cleaning will give a less chance of a problem if the Deep Registery cleaning is used in ASC.

Cheers.

It seems that the problem is related to your athrux.sys Atheros wifi driver.

What does the Driver Manager tool in the Toolbox of ASC say when you try the update the drivers ?

In any case try to update the driver. (If it is the latest version, try one older version.)

Please have a look at THIS page and this page.

Cheers.

When I used ASC driver tool, it says all my drivers are up to date. So I went to programs and tried to manually update the driver with "Atheros client installation program". It would have a window popped up that says

"The device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged from the system. Insert or reinsert now."

And when I hit OK, it goes on and says its reconfiguring your new software.

I don't know if its relevant, but I'm not using Atheros to connect to the internet. I'm using my Netgear WNA1100 N150 wireless USB to connect.

  • 4 weeks later...

Sorry for answer so late:

as i installed a image of some days before all is ok again. even with 6.1.9.

But some weeks later, the same bluescreen appears again.

OK i played an old image again ands ok again.

But im thinking whats the mistake?

Im sure its from iobit, couse nothing other i installed.

question: Is it possible that the smart Ram can create this mistake? i remeber i have used it some times.

What the difference between smart clean and deep clean?

Hi Daskalos

Please go through your settings with a fine tooth comb

The current trouble could be the deep cleaning of the registry, - don't use that function unless it is necessary - this goes for both a normal cleaning and the automatic function.

It is not necessary to clean the registry in a deep way very often and can in some cases lead to bad functionality if one isn't familiar with what is being done. and doesn't check the socalled "problems" prior to fixing them.

Cheers

roll back the atheros driver

It not uncommon for new versions of drivers to cause blue screens of death.

My advice roll back the driver

ControlPanel>DeviceManager>NetworkAdapters>Atheros>properties>rollback.

you might also check out Atheros's forums for problems with this driver version

Roy

Nvidia is the usual suspect.

but they and many others also include auto update of drivers, daily/weekly/monthly .

BSOD see if they have udpdated thier drivers either in OS event log or providers driver home page

Live long and prosper!

The Ccleaner software is not overly aggressive. You have seen me advise it. This may have been a curious/test/thread as there are some discrepancies within it. I have run Cc almost as often as ASC as a double check. The author is highly respected and the software is excellent.
