I have Win 10 Pro x64, so the native operating system is 64bits. Unfortunately "Advanced System Care 14" does not recognize the operating system as 64bits and installs the program as if it were 32bits, choosing the folder "Programs (x86)", when it should installed in the corresponding folder "Programs".
I thought that with this new version, I already recognized the 32-bit or 64-bit operating system, but unfortunately iobit is still a little behind the competition.
At the level of operation nothing to complain about, buy with your function.
By keeping it as a 32 bit program, it is able to work on all systems, 32 & 64 bit...whereas a 64 bit program will not work on a 32 bit system.
Saves the hassle of needing two versions. Also some programs work better as 32 bit.

Scannan, Still hanging tough after all these years. Hard to believe I joined this forum in 2007. Just want to extend respect to you for all your efforts over the years. There was a time when you weren't a lone voice crying in the wilderness, but those days are long gone. Thumbs upThumbs up
Thank you.
Yes it is sad that such a great forum was wrecked by Iobit.
Hard to understand really, when it was for their benefit. Obviously they decided they had better things to do than help Users of their products.

You are welcome

I understand completely. It seems we are no longer the owners of our own PC's. We install programs in good faith, and end up at the mercy of the Program owners.
And when you seek assistance from them for their screw-up's....you are ignored.
Maybe you will be lucky, and Iobit might actually help you, tomorrow, when they resume work, as they do not work on the weekend.
Personally, I do not use DB, and I only update drivers if the manufacturer recommends it or if I have an issue with a specific driver.
Then I only update from the manufacturer's site.
I hope your issue will be resolved.
-
You distinctly said in your previous post....."The BIS causes that Iobit notification, because it fails to download the DB due to action of blocking by the BIS"
Please try to give the correct information.
The only suggestion I can give you, is to remove BIS from your pc. Install DB and then Reinstall BIS.
Additionally, I would also recommend that you update drivers individually yourself from the manufacturers site.

Thank you for the reply.
So now we know the issue is with SD.
I suggest that you run SD defrag only (without Optimise/Prioritise) so we can see if it is the defragmenting or Prioritising which is causing the issue.
Also, ensure that Windows Defrag is disabled, and do not run it again while you are dealing with this issue. The Windows Defrag and Smart Defrag, completely
undo each others work, and can cause issues.

The BIS causes that Iobit notification, because it fails to download the DB due to action of blocking by the BIS, in addition to, I had before uninstalled all the old folder of the DB either in AppaDate or user folder...., also along with using the the Iobit uninstaler, I carried it out again, downloading again the DB using Majorgeks website, but , I faced the same problem, its screenshot is here
So you are saying that you cannot even download DB from Majorgeeks???/

Hi atailor1
Long time. Nice to hear from you.
I agree completely with everything you say. As for Iobit and the forum......Iobit stopped helping out a long time ago.
While the users issue is with BIS, I still try to help them work around it if I can, because I know that both BitDefender and Iobit are useless when it comes to
helping people.
-
Things change a lot in 9 years.....
-
Ok....that screenshot is not from BIS, it is an Iobit notification.
If BIS is still blocking DB from Majorgeeks, then BIS has a serious fault.
I am assuming that you disabled BIS before downloading DB from majorgeks and installing it.
If there are old DB folders still on your pc, that may interfere with the installation. I suggest that you uninstall any DB files and folders, and look also in
your Program Folder and AppData folder and delete any DB folders. Then try installling DB again.
-
Then it is BIS which is defective.
Iobit use Bitdefender engine in it's MalwareFighter program so BIS should not have a n issue with DB.
I suggest that you download DB from the Majorgeeks site.
Some other third party sites add bundleware to the installation packages, and this causes issues with users antivirus/security software.
Majorgeeks are the recommended download site....please always download Iobit products from majorgeeks so you are guaranteed they are clean
-
If BIS is still blocking even when it is disabled, then the issue is with BIS. If you disable your AV software then it should not be able to block anything.
It sounds to me that BIS realtime protection is not disabled.
I think you should google...how BIS is blocking a program when it is disabled
-
If you disable BIS.....then there is no reason why DB cannot be installed
-
Temporarily disable BIS. Install Driver Booster.
Enable BIS and add Driver Booster to the ignore list, so that it does not detect driver booster.
-
That is why I asked you to disable SM and use the built in windows defragment. It also optimises the drive.
It will tell us if there is an issue with the prioritising.
-
Yes....follow the advice I gave you.
As for the discounts, if you look at the support link I gave you, you will see that the offer there for renewal is 80% off....which is a lot better than the 25% you got.
Also, do not ever use any of the phone numbers....as there are serious issues regarding them.
-
Yes Iobit Uninstaller does. You can read the Product Manual here....https://www.iobit.com/product-manuals/iu-help/

Your first question is a little confusing. First you say that "it seems you can't use the second licence to extend the software for 2 years"....then you as " if the second licence will remain unused until you activate it"
The second licence should not begin it's 12 month validity period until you activate it. The code is unique is your property which you purchased and you decide when you activate it.
However, I do not think it is sensible to purchase 2 licences in order to take advantage of discounts. You would be much better off waiting until near the renewal date and then using the Licence Renewal facility here in the support section of the Forum. You get much better deals. You will find the support ( the drop down menu also has a Refund request option) section in the top right corner at the following link....
https://www.iobit.com/en/products.php
As for the second question......the best way to resolve complex issues with licences/renewals is to send a PM (Private Message) to Cicely, who is the Iobit liaison here at the Forum. The following link will take you directly to Cicel's User page where you can send a PM. You should include a link to this Topic in the PM. Let us know how you get on.

That is a huge drive. I suggest that you disable Smart Defrag and run the built in Windows defragment, just to see if the same problem occurs.
-
You say you have 5TB of data but you don't say what the total size of the drive is.
-
Download from the News & Offers section of the forum
-
I told you how to sort it out in my previous post....
Send a PM to Cicely

I have tried to update my free version of IObit Uninstaller to v 10.0.2. Both the program and IObit website take me to download.cnet.com as a mirror to download the software. However, neither Avast nor Malwarebytes antivirus programs will let me run the installer for v 10.0.2 downloaded from download.cnet.com because the file downloaded from download.cnet.com is infected with "FileRepMalware". Where can I find a link to the freeware version of the upgrade to IObit Uninstallere 10.0.2 that is not infected with FileRepMalware? Thanks.
Unfortunately, Iobit seem to be determined to destroy their reputation as a company who cares for their Users.
The link that Iobit has in the forum for Uninstaller v10 is a cnet link.
What is supposed to happen is that this would be updated in the News & Offers section of the forum, and there the Majorgeeks link would be provided
However this was not done, because Iobit just do not care anymore.
So, here is the link for Uninstaller v10 from Majorgeeks......http://m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/iobit_uninstaller.html
In future you should just go straight to the majorgeeks site to download any Iobit programs.
