If you read the article I sent you, then I cannot understand why you would even still have Iobit.rar on your pc
never mind using it.
It is possible that I am not understanding what you mean by .rar. If you could explain better what the.rar is
and what you want to do with it. I would like to help you but you must give more detail. I have helped users
with ransomware before.

I suggest you have a look at this.........https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/741190/derohe-ransomware-distributed-through-fake-iobit-one-year-free-license-key-promo/page-2

Can you be more specific with your question. "Can I do something with this?" does not tell us much.

One thing I would suggest is that the Auto Care options should be made clearer, and make more of it.
I agree. I have already made the same suggestion (which was ignored) in a previous post...

Is this a game of "One upmanship" or just henpecking to have the “Last Word” ?
Well, I'm not the type to do either. ☺
Seems constructive criticism from a User with only a couple of days experience using the Advanced System Care has no chance against a Moderator with 2,657 posts under his belt, I won’t be giving feedback in the future.
Sorry you feel that way.

You never know. Maybe Iobit will take it on board.

The simple answer is that this is how the programmers decided to create the program.
The .dbd format is used by many programs. It is simply a way of utilising a database.
As to what you can do to change it..........you have already done all you can by bringing it to the attention of Iobit.
Personally, I think that if you want to use Driver Booster but don't want it sitting on your machine, then the easiest thing to do is to
download the Driver Booster installer and save it in a folder. Then you can install DB and use it. Then uninstall it. You can reinstall it anytime with the saved installer.
-
Of course you can discuss it or continue the thread.

Did you care to read what I said ?
I know how it works, I don't need any further instructions
I will caution you as to your behaviour when using the Forum. Disrespect will not be tolerated.
We don't get paid for this, but give our time freely to assist others.
Yes, I read your post. Obviously, you Do need further instructions.....otherwise you would not be asking the question.
It shows clearly in the information I sent that it is necessary to install Driver Booster in order to run the offline package.
This is because the package is created as a Driver Booster file, and so only Driver Booster can read it.
If you had read the Product Manual before using the program, you would have seen this.

So while I am driving the car I need to read the "Product Manual " for a detailed description on how to change gears on an automatic transmission function, good one I must remember to do this next time.
Most sensible people would read the Product manual...before driving the car. I assume most sensible people would also
read the Poduct Manual before using new software.

I do not understand what you are asking here. It is quite clear in the Product Manual.

Sorry you see it that way. I was simply performing my function as a Moderator by clarifying some details.

I recognise where your coming from believing otherwise. Don't you tell people when you post where you're from? Mine looked more like a "Postal Address" rather than a "promotional location" then again it's only my opinion.
Strange that you should highlight this matter, when I had to delete another of your posts (status) because you included your contact details including a phone number. This is a breach of the Forum rules and is a banning offence. So I gave you a pass on it this time, because I assumed that as you did not read the Product Manual before using the software, that you also did not read the Forum rules before posting.
Now you have no excuse for mis-using either the software or the Forum.

hey. i am using ASC 14 pro for a long time. recently i am noticing some problem. like in junk file clean its saying that cleans 200 or 400 MBs of file. but my disk space remains the same. why its happening. i tried to reach one of ASC's agents and he is saying thats it is cleaning. how can I be sure if there is no change in disk space. why its happening.. it cleaned my system in first run. but in 2nd run.. boom. nothing is cleaning instead of saying that it cleaned 400 MB of junk
How big is your drive....if it is 500 GB or 1TB....then 400mb's is not going to show up....it is too small.

Remember when I say "Trust noone" that include me
Thank you for your feedback. Always welcome.
There are however some areas that require comment. While the explanations under the functions are sparse
they are only designed as a hint. If you go to the Product Manual which is in the Settings Menu, you will get
a detailed description of the functions. I think it is fair to say that most software programs either do not give you even a sparse explanation under the function or none at all.
As for getting charged for downloading "More Optimization Tools".....You would be told in the toolbox section
if there were any additional charges. So...no, you do not get charged extra. Iobit decided to make it necessary to downlod
these extra Tools, in order to keep the size of the Main program as small as possible, and to give the user the choice
as to what they want, rather than just giving everybody every Tool.
I am very concerned that a 41 year veteran in IT would make such a novice mistake with the Start Up Optimiser.
And as you said....and I quoted....Trust No One.....therefore I deleted your promotional location from the end of your post.

This function is already available in the Task Manager in Windows 10.

I have no idea where Damian Szabat got his information, but I would imagine he is just guessing.
The licence is for 1 year...have a look at the Product Manual......https://www.iobit.com/product-manuals/isr-help/

- Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon located on your desktop and select Empty Recycle Bin.
- Or, alternatively, double-click on the Recycle Bin on your desktop. Then, click the Empty the Recycle Bin button along with the top menu.
- A warning box will appear. Click Yes to permanently delete files.
This has nothing to do with the issue in the topic. The OP wanted a way to securely clean his recycle bin leaving no evidence which could be
retrieved.
Your instructions simply empties the recycle bin which does not securely delete the information (files).
Please read the topic before replying.

Open Uninstaller again and see if 365 is still in the list of programs installed.
If it is, uninstall it again. This time look at the list of fragments to be cleaned and you should see the one that
is causing the issue.
As 365 is a Microsoft product, it is most likely that the fragment cannot be removed because it is a microsoft system file
and access to it is denied.

Hi laurie
Sorry to hear your issue is not resolved.
1) I now have a "StartMenuExperienceHost" runs all the time I don't think I need it, how do I delete it? (attached image)
You should leave StartMenuExperienceHost alone. It helps your Start menu to run smoothly.
2) windows defender screen protector, how do I disable or block it from running?
- Launch Windows Defender Security Center from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
- Click the App and browser control button on the left side of the window.
- Click Off in the Check apps and files section.
- Click Off in the SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge section.
3) Windows "redistributable" programs (attached image) can I delete all? The 2010 versions showed up in the recent Win 10 update.
I recommend that you do not delete these. They are part of the Windows Runtime System. Even though they are showing
as old versions, it is best to leave them alone. Removing them has been known to cause issues with Windows Updates.
Regarding the Performance Monitor issues......yes, I think you should uninstall ASC and re-install it to see if it corrects the issue.
Use Iobit Uninstaller to remove it and ensure you use the option to remove all remnants. Also, go to file explorer ....C:\Program Files (x86)\Iobit
and delete any ASC Folder.
Also go to..... C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Iobit .....and delete any ASC Folder
Reinstall ASC.
Let me know if you have any further issues

You are welcome.
You could also try this.......open Device Manager.....find your Keyboard Driver..... right click on it and uninstall the driver completely.
Now reboot your pc. Windows will automatically install a driver. This often solves issues for people.
You should create a restore point before you do anything like this, so that you can go back if anything goes wrong.
Also.....a little advice......do not update drivers unless you have a driver issue or the manufacturer recommends a
driver update......if it's not broken, don't fix it.....
-
I strongly recommend that you read the many posts/topics in the Smart Defrag section of the Forum
regarding defragging and auto-defragging.
It is completely unnecessary to be continuously defragging your drive, and certainly reduces the lifespan of your drive.
