Hi, Thanks but i managed to sort it as i described in my last post.
Don't worry about it. As you can see Iobit does not take much notice of Users posts. Iobit are only interested in Users supplying them with daignostic logs in order to
save them the effort of actually trying to help Users with their issues.
They used to give actual help here on the Forum, but alas they do not anymore.

This is very strange. i have tested this numerous times and if I switch off AutoCare in Main Settings it is also switched off in Quick Settings, and if I switch it off in Quick Settings it is also switched off in Main Settings.
It is important to remember that when you change anything in Main Settings you have to click the Apply button. If you forget to do that, then the changes do not take effect.

I'd suggest you choose a very easy location for storing the screenshots. You could make a folder in your non-Windows drive and name it something like "ASC Scan complete pics" to store the screenshots.
You can even automate it in the settings.
I do the same thing to store the pics and then at times send it to my network using (SPAM LINK REMOVED).
We ensure that all the people have their own folder in the shared drive.
WARNING: RuskinF, I have removed your Spam Link. I have also deleted other posts by you due to Spam. If you post Spam links
again, you will be BANNED. This is your only warning.

You do not have to turn off Auto Care completely just to stop Privacy Sweep.
In Settings/Auto Care you can just De-Select (Untick) Privacy Sweep. Then you can activate Auto Care and the other Functions of Autocare will work but Privacy Sweep will not.
-
I cannot find Privacy Sweep Auto in Quick Settings. Please could you tell us the name of this setting as it may help others.
Also I tested the Settings and Quickk Settings and if you switch off a function in Settings it also switches off in Quick Settings and vice versa.
Also when you did not run the Scan for 3 days the issue still occurred, which does not make sense.
If you Click the Manage Licence on the bottom right of your GUI screen it will tell you how much time is left.
-
Also, check your Browser Anti-Tracking settings in ASC/settings/main features/protect
You can look it up in the Product Manual....https://www.iobit.com/product-manuals/asc-help/#Protect
-
As this is a recent development I cannot see that it is an ASC problem, unless you recently updated ASC or changed ASC settings.
It sounds more like an Opera issue. Maybe an extension you added.
Have a look here...
-
If you have not used the Scan in the last 3 days. then ASC is not causing the issue, so most likely as I said previously, Safari is set to clear history/cache on shutdown.
Also I am assuming that you are not using Auto Care or Auto Clean in ASC.
-
Glad to help.
There is a setting to change from HDD to SSD....you just hover over the drive....it shows it in the Product Manual
-
Do you have Junk Files Clean selected?. Maybe that is causing the issue, Check in ASC settings for the items selected in Junk Files Clean. Maybe DNS Cache should not be selected.
Also ensure that Safari itself is not set to clear history automatically on shutdown.
-
Once you choose to to make SD your default defrag in SD settings, then you do not have to do anything in Windows as SD does it for you.
Also you should note that in SD settings you should identify your drive as an SSD not a HDD.
Also read the Disk Defrag section of the SD Product Manual.
https://www.iobit.com/product-manuals/sd-help/#Main%20Interface
-
You give very little info, so I am assuming that it is Privacy Sweep that is causing the issue.
In ASC settings you should look at the different items which are cleaned during Privacy Sweep anduntick the relevant item so that it is not part of the scan.
Probably the Saved Form Information item.
Sorry I cannot be more specific, but I do nor use Safari.
-
SD gives you the option to replace windows defrag with SD, which you have obviously chosen, so SD is now your default program.
Therefore SD now performs your Trim.
You do not state whether you are using Auto Defrag or a manual Defrag.
If you are using Auto you can select optimise in the Auto Defrag settings.
If you are using Manual Defrag you can select optimise in the Scan options.

[h=2]IObit Holiday: From January 24 to February 1, 2020[/h]Hi @Cicely I'd appreciate your follow up to this issue, thanks -
-
As you know it is a false positive, just put it in the ignore list.
-
What do you mean by..".It is not advisable to use IOBit products alongside other products".
And then say to..."Use the Malware Fighter to see if Scandisp.exe is really a threat issue"...when Malware Fighter is an Iobit product
-
Firstly, you need to explain properly what your issue is.
Saying.."Malware fighter 7 reports them as false positive when I use them and do the security scan together.".. makes no sense to anybody except you.
Calm down and explain in detail what your issue is
-
Yes you can...in Settings/Autocare

Did you re-install DB. Updating is not the same thing.
-
Glad to help.
Please be advised, that there are a lot of things that ASC can do to mess things up if you do not use it correctly.
It is important to check the settings. Also do not ever enable Deep Clean in Registry Clean.

;You came here for assistance so at least show some respect.
ASC optimisation works fine. Firefox has it's own settings. If those settings disagree with ASC's changes then each time FF restarts it will reset to it's own settings.
If you do not want that to happen then you must learn how to setup FF. This is done in about:config. You can google it.
But as I said, the wise thing to do is to leave FF alone if it is working well. The choice is yours.

The answer to No1 is 100% No,
With regard to the disc numbering issue.....this is a windows item and you should google why does a disc number change.
You do not say whether ASC caused any problems, or whether it was as a result of using ASC that the disc numbers changed.
I have never heard of this happening.
Have a look at these sites...https://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/238912-windows-keeps-changing-order-my-hard-disks.html

Just because ASC wants to optimise Firefox, does not mean that you have to do it.
If Firefox is running well and you are happy with it, then leave well alone.
If FF was not working then I could understand your wish to optimise it.
Spyhunter identify Iobit Malware fighter7 as a malware

It is a false positive, There are many posts in the forum regarding the issue.
