The scan time seems much longer than previous versions.

I miss the option to shut down the computer after repair. Especially since some scans/analyses take so long, I prefer to run the program just before I go to bed, so it is scanning and repairing while I sleep. Therefore, I prefer for it to shut down the computer when done, rather than have to stay up until it is done and manually shut down the computer.

 

Also I think a backup option should be added to the tools.

First of all love the new beta program...amazing interface and the best part is the uninstaller......But it has some problems showing recently installed programs....it didnt show Iobits recently installed programs like driver booster surfing protection etc

 

The startup Manager repeatedly failing to disable Ashampoo HDDC3 Guard from booting with windows......Its disabled in the manager but its not....See attachment

 

And also ur Send Feedback option not working....showing an error " Failed to send your feedback. Press OK to submit an online feedback"

As a fan of Heroes of the Storm game (not advertising), I approve this design, especially the "Scan" button.

Speed Up>Deep Optimisation: Add the ability to remember the previous state value so that we will can cancel a change, also add "Description [RegValue name]", like "Disable clear pagefile at shutdown [ClearPageFileAtSutdown]".

Pls add ability to minimise scan process to use tools from Toolbox!

I am back at testing ASC9 B1. This time it is on Dell Inspiron 7348 with Windows 10 Home x64.

 

1. After ASC9 installation, I could still see both ASC8 and 9 running, so I closed 8.

 

2. Edge, the default browser, does not show up under Internet Booster, but Internet Explorer does.

 

3. I have some concerns with Disk Optimization still. I think it is OK that the SSHD of this Inspiron is treated like an HDD, but an attached USB-flash drive also shows up as HDD as well! Can this be a bug?

 

4. The Feedback button do?es not work.

 

So far, I like what I have seen in ASC9 B1.

Upd. for Deep Optimisation: like in System Optimisation, do Item Name with Description [RegValue name], Current Value, and Recommendation value. I don't want to change/optimise something until I'll know what it will change, like in Tweaking.com's software (not advertising).

Cicely I can send screenshots if absolutely required but that should not be needed. All that needs to be done is view some of the items detected showing N/A in RegEdit, and you will see that for some of them there is data there.

Hello swagcommander, the option to shut down the computer after repair is still provided, you can see it by checking the downwards arrow besides the Automatically repair option, it means you can set ASC to automatically repair the issues and set your computer to shut down after then.:-)

So glad to see you again. For the first point, since ASC v9 is still in beta version, so we keep ASC v8 for stability.

 

For the other three issues, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelperV9.exe

 

Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop, please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

 

FYI, you can manually change the disk from HDD to SSD by clicking on the disk type under Disk Optimization settings in the Settings screen of ASC.:-)

This appears to be much faster than release 8.3, although the disk error scan did appear to stall for a time at 45%. However it did detect one error, so maybe that was when it was detected ..... perhaps the number of errors/faults detected could be incremented as they are found during the scans rather than just displayed at the end of each scan.

Also the built in feedback failed to send - I attempted multiple times .....

I know this is a new issue so you guys dont have a fix for it but if you have never heard of this please look it up. What I am talking about is that Windows 10 is having a bug where start menu and cortana wont work such as you click the icon and it wont open, and yes their are ways online to fix it but I have tried EVERYTHING and I cannot fix it... :( Please add something in the toolbox to fix this bug it would make this app so much more awesome than it already is!

Ok, i'll try. For example, we have Rescue center with registry backups, with prevous state value of the registry. Can you do the same thing? But in Rescue center will be new section with the name "Deep Optimization Rescue", and program will create backup.reg file with single reg key and with the name of the optimized item. I tried to explain it clearly enough, I hope I did not confuse you.

 

Also, pls don't forget about:

Hello yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro X64 and then made a successful clean reset......Everythings fine with the new OS.....Downloaded ASC 9 beta ran the scan.....went well... my OS is now more responsive and fluid......But everytime I do the scan( I do twice a day) there's this one problem in the Performance issues everytime--> (see attachment)

 

I wouldnt have made a comment here about this if your feedback system worked....I do have another issue regarding the uninstaller ...Ill post about it in the Uninstaller feedback area

What I noticed about ASC9 B1 was the faster SCAN speed, and easier to read results, than ASC8.

 

As I mentioned that I was testing ASC9 B1 with Windows 10 x64 Home Single Language, it would be hard to decide what caused a potential problem.

 

In fact, a major problem happened a couple of days ago. All of a sudden, left-clicking the Start button did not do anything (but right-clicking was OK), and Edge browser icon was removed from the task bar.

 

This forced me to reinstall Windows and went back to ASC8. I guess I will have to use W10 for a while and then test ASC9 later...
