I know it's every company's dream to have endless users all on subscriptions but it's just not something I will ever really be a part of.
Give me a fixed price upfront for some software.
I like IOuninstaller but Im not interested in $15 a year for it.

You need not install the components listed as they don’t help in the proper functioning of the programs that you use like SketchUp.
Even if you don’t play any games or do play them, you need not compulsorily install these programs

It's up to your choice. If you don't want to install game components, you can uncheck the box before the option" Scan updates for Game Components" in Settings of Driver Booster.

It is much better if you can send us a screenshot of the pop-up you received. However, according to your description, we guess you may mean Anti-ransomware Engine in Protect. Could you please check whether it is helpful if you disable Anti-ransomware Engine.
If it doesn't work, please send us a screenshot of the popup.

Different products have different standards. Thus, it does mean the more problems can be found the better the products are. Besides, some threats are not really threats.
And no product can remove all the threats, for there are always new threats. If you found that IObit Malware Fighter missed something, please tell us the name of the malware or send us the related screenshots that you mentioned so that we can collect the sample to let IMF can remove it in the future.

We are afraid that the notification can't displayer sooner. It will show up after your system totally boots up. To make your PC startup faster, you can to to Startup Manager to disable those unnecessaries.

Do I need any of these drivers / components when I don't play any games? I do use a 3d CAD modeling program called Sketchup.

We recommend you install the components even you don’t play games. Because the components do not only apply to games, but also for programs that are using or developed with the components. Take Adobe Flash Player as an example, besides many small games using flash technology, there are also many video players using the flash technology. For those video players, it is required to install or update flash player to play them normally. One more example, programs and games developed with using Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribution need to install/update Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribution for proper working.
But if you do not need game components, please go to Settings to uncheck the box before the option" Scan updates for Game Components".
