I will continue to use Iobits products and have no plan not to.

That is fine and dandy Mongoose and you have all the rights to do that. I don't question their products' effectiveness (I've never used them). I would just not prefer to have my online reputation and presence be associated with such business practices.

What else would you like us to do IndiGenus?

I understand they are not responding to your questions. That's too bad. Not much else you can do. As I had said. I think the porn pages need to get pulled. But all you can do is ask.

Have we heard ANYTHING from a corporate rep?

Hi IndiGenus,

No, it is a misunderstanding on your side, as they are responding to our questions, and that is not too bad.

I do not look specificly to porn pages, and my PCs are 100% protected to as such, but after the allegations here, I looked and that conserned web page is opened without any bells whatsoever.

I would not get into the porn pages subject as I don't think it is any concern to us, and I don't want to hear anything about it also. This is the first and last post I will talk about porn here, as porn is not permitted in this Forum.

I would advise users not to do that too.

What you hear from IObit reps, is what we hear also.

Cheers.

No, you don't get it. Those are IObit pages! Hosted by IObit! I'm not talking about pxxn. So it's okay for the parent company to host those "pages we refer to", but you're probably about to ban me just for referring to them? My god!

Okay I'm done then...feels like I'm talking to a wall here. I've been pretty patient and have not called names, ect.... but I've had enough and some of you people need to pull your heads out of the sand and be honest with yourselves. If you're okay with what they do and represent, then all the power to you!

~Attacking mods are not tolerated.~

I haven't seen a mod attacking  but I do know what you mean and apologise

That is the power of the English language, as is with any other language. One sentence can have many meanings.

I didn't know i had to clarify myself, but, im glad you understand.

Does seem a little odd as it could appear to be encouraging or condoning the use of illegal software or at least appear to be aiding those who download copyrighted materials.

Though of course you can use the programs solely for downloading stuff that's in the public domain I suspect most do not.

Strange that they don't include the legal sources such as Napster in the list.

The mention of warez is a tad of a concern

Sorry enoskype - suspect I was posting at the same time - You can delete this if you feel it necessary

Wouldn't be the first software to a "assist" users in bittorrent clients.

The Amins/moderators/5diamond guys have been very supportive. I have helped them as well. I do not hover here. I visit, as I do regularly, and have for 5 mos. You join and hover here... with nothing vested but intentions to insult somebody for some reason. Thats all.

How much you getting paid to be so hateful?

The Admins/moderators/diamond guys want this resolved as well. Of course I will support the individuals who have supported me.

Its unfortunate that you have no respect for people that have nothing to do with Iobit other than participate on their forum.

I read this whiole catching up with what has been going on and I must first say that I fully understand what it is like to moderate or provide Administration for a forum on a voluntary basis as I do this myself elsewhere on another prominent security site HOWEVER I do question your loyalty when certain facts are presented and confirm some serious trust issues, contrary to IOBits declaration. Surely you must have some glimmer of doubt about whether you are supporting the right party or you are so blinded that you can't see the light through the trees! I personally, no matter how long I may have supported a company's product, would be rather concerned and would consider my position with the said company. This is only human nature and common sense as I would not like to be tarnished with the same brush.

Another issue before you blow at me, I am not hateful nor am I being paid to write this, it is my observations, so please dont degrade yourself and say otherwise.

I do respect people defending a cause but in all reality, there has to be a point where you have to say "I may be wrong" and in these circumstances one must retract from the issue and move on to pastures new.

Finally one member named ccomputertek came to his senses over on Wilders Security and made this declaration:

And why ten pages of posts ? is this really any of our business ? how many posting here are or were actually IOBIT customers ? If you never were then you should just leave it alone, it's not your problem. If your a malwarebytes customer it doesn't affect you either, simply continue updating and using the program. How many more pages of this why sit here all night creating page after page of posts if it doesn't concerne you ?

8 pages ago it was still interesting, not since then, time to talk about something else now. You do realize that every post increases the size of wilders unnecessasarily ( spelling ) no need to make wilders go from 100megs to 150 megs over this. Let their attorneys handle it from here. NOW STOP ! ! ! ! ! !

Hi alfie

I really do not know

It seems - after what has been published on our forum - that at least part of this whole fracas comes from MBAM wanting IObit to stop the contest.

We will have to wait and see what happens.

I suspect that IObit will issue a statement about the fate of the contest.

Originally it was scheduled to run 13 bi-weekly competitions, then it became halved - and what will happen now I do not know.

But seeing that it up until now has only run for a 1/3 of the original time I wonder if IObit will feel that they have gotten sufficient advertising and goodwill out of it to bestow the final prize on one of the 4 contenders that we have until now.

Cheers

Hi alfie

There were many more - I meant 4 winners.

Krissy from IObit has issued a statement about the fate of the contest, please find it and read.

It mentions that the contest has stopped and mentions the 1. prize winners and the special award winners.

So according to you this whole issue is created by mbam just to malign IObit's

image out of jealousy??

Hi alfie

Don't put words in my mouth - what I said was this:

It seems - after what has been published on our forum - that at least part of this whole fracas comes from MBAM wanting IObit to stop the contest.

In one of the statements from IObit it was mentioned that the president of MBAM had approach them and asked them to stop the contest.

They didn't - even though they shortened the time it would run (halved it)

Now they have stopped it!

From that I deduced that this probably had something to do with this attack, but that is my deduction solely.

Cheers
