Hi Madballs

Where did you find it? I haven't found it even though I have looked!

Did you find it in a post that has been deleted.

We try to control spammers, but they have to spam before we can see it, and some users may be faster in finding it than we are, we are primarily trying to help users with computer/program problems.

If you found it in a post, the correct procedure would have been to report it using the report function!

Cheers

solbjerg

Just give me a second and I will try to see where I got linked to the page I was on about. I think I was seeing About Us in IOBIT main page and at the bottom of the page there were new buttons.

I assume (and hope) the pages will be taken down very soon by IObit. I've saved a few locally for posterity sake.

And I can already hear the excuse for this one. We were hacked.....no wait.....MBAM hacked us and put up those pages! Ya, that's the ticket.....

This is just getting out of hand...

How can Iobit sleep this off? If it were my company, I'd be up all night clearing my name, but they have yet to respond to MY emails.

Slowly, one loses the will to continue to defend the once believed righteous.

The links aren't in the forums solbjerg. The IObit smartdefrag page at http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html has buried in the page source...

<a class="blue" href="http://www.iobit.com/naruto-hentai.html">Naruto Hentai</a>

That page offers "Boosts free naruto porn games downloading and sharing in Just Seconds."

The other page offers to speed up porn games.

Not porn itself but still...not very classy.

Vman, you have been very classy throughout... I, too, have chosen to stay neutral, as I have been a big user/supporter of the IObit products.. but, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting darker and darker at this point...

From a closer inspection, to me it seems like if taking advantage of the off guard from the servers maintenance service, due to the sock wave of the accusation by Malwarebytes; some other guys have injected some malicious code in the main webpage.

I did not find that link in this forum by no means. I just found it googling.

Possibly. There's a fair amount of garbage at the bottom of...

I was expecting an immediate response once the software began being taken off several of the popular download sites, but still nothing at this point...

vman - I know you have said that you cannot get responses back on your emails, but if you do happen to come in contact with an IObit representative, can you please request that, perhaps, the CEO or another high ranking person within the company come on the forum to answer some questions, or maybe even open up a live chat?

PCTech

Have you read IObit's blog?

An explanation has been there since yesterday!

They will probably write more there when there is some developement to report and explain.

Cheers

p.s. pestering the forum with all this is more than unfair to all users and members seeking assistance to computer/program problems.

I do really feel a bit sorry for all the Administrators and Moderators on this forum. My apologies if any of my comments have been mislead.

I serve in a security forum too; and I was really disapointed when I discovered the toolbar, not from Yahoo!, but the other one. I just only wanted to get an explaination for that change in the policies of including toolbars. Therefore, where I serve, people ask why they had this new toolbar form Conduit.

I have seen some cases where it was quite hard to get rid of Conduit's toolbars. And don't mention decreasing internet speed due to it :-|
