I'm not sure about the claims and counter-claims but I am sure that hosting an active malware file is a Very Bad Idea. What are you thinking IObit? In the first place, a modified file with the appropriate signature characteristics would have sufficed. In the second place, files or definitions modified after the fact prove nothing.

i read the hole tread on this and the clams thy made -but in all fairness thy are holding back -so ok perhaps we need some one to explore the sides story and disprove the story by them -at least assure us here -we are ok -i mean thy are not fooling about ,and thy are at war-so we got the making of a scenario

This is the hard reality and THIS is what security company's real motives are.

 

Same thing happened to other cheaters at Comodo, each time they were being trapped pants down, their userbase grew exponentially. It's no longer quality what matters but fuzz, glowing titles on internet propaganda pages and spreading your company's name that attracts admirers.

As far as I understand it was a temporary deletion, only one moderator was on - and he got swamped by posts of whom many were derogatory.

Many were made by the same person using different forum names.

We then tried to get some measure of order into the situation and I created a thread "Accusation -Dispute" where this thread probably eventually will be placed.

The timing of the publishing of the accusation was also orchistrated so that it hit the Internet at a time where most Chinese people are fast asleep.

Actually your recent post should have been written in the mentioned thread.

What I cant understand is why everyone automatically believes the Malwarebytes crew.

Their software is overrated,and their Wunderkind CEO is prone to drama.

 

Where is all of that "Innocent till proven guilty" stuff the West loves to spout?

 

IOBit is an old,respected company.

Why would they steal a limited use specialist program,which in the end is all Malwarebytes is,despite their marketing as "A Complete Anti-Malware"?

Your not understanding the message im trying to get out. But I will repeat one last time. There are a million ways this could have happened, but there is only 1 truth. I chose to wait and see the "legal" statement iobit releases, then pass my judgment. As of now, i take no sides.

 

Name at least 10 alternative ways this could happen, no wait name 5 alternative ways this could of happened and then maybe people will wait til they pass judgments.

 

However conducting these tests my self I was able to replicate Malwarebytes accusations against IOBit.

Alot of fanboys here with 300+ posts, trying not to leave the mothership because they've been so dedicated to it... I can see why you want to wait til you pass judgment, you trust the software so much.

 

 

So the current situation is...

 

Malwarebytes has COMPELLING evidence. (note the CAPS)

IObit has no defense but rather deny such accusations.

IObit is trying to find the best way out of this mess and is probably trying to think of one of the "MILLION" ways that this could of happened?

there is a dispute between Malwarebytes and Iobit that is not cleared and we don't know what is hidden behind all this situation and whether it was constracted somehow and some new members from other FORUMS appear here atacking IOBIT and insulting China.

 

This is unacceptable. China is fast growing economically and soon would be the first economy. Your HP pc, your Philips TV, your Sony camera just to mention a few products you are using are made in China and this is the reason you can buy them so cheap.

Great move, once again,from IObit to have changed their toolbar to the Yahoo! one. Now at least people can get rid of it. But I think a bit too late.

Where did you find it? I haven't found it even though I have looked!

Did you find it in a post that has been deleted.

We try to control spammers, but they have to spam before we can see it, and some users may be faster in finding it than we are, we are primarily trying to help users with computer/program problems.

If you found it in a post, the correct procedure would have been to report it using the report function! Not linking it in your thread to further spread it!!
