So smart scan and full scan both shut off at 4725 files. Icon in bottom right remains however the user interface and scan screen disappear. I know the computer has something. I have tried installing malwarebytes and it won't even install so +1 for Io360. Now I just need it to finish scanning and get rid of my crap...LOL

Hijack doc attached if any insterest. Thanks!

his/her SUN Java is vulnerable and he/she could catch Trojan Vundo easily, for example

Please uninstall Sun Java 1.6.0_01 and install Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.16

Hi dafaic,

After following the advices of danburrito, and leofelix, consider the update of Adobe Acrobat 7.0.

If I remember correctly, Adobe Acrobat 7.0 had a vulnarability also.

If there is no particular reason that you use it, it is better to update to the most recent version 9.1.3.

NOTE: For totally getting rid of the old java files, after installing the new one, you can use JavaRa.

You can find the documentation HERE and download link HERE .

Cheers.

Hello everybody, I perform reviews tests of products and then put the video on youtube. One of my first review got posted here on the forums, it was an iobit security 360 removal test where my vm kept crashing. I just decided to give IObit a prevention test to see how it compared to some other antivirus product that I would be testing at the same time. I went to test a few links and it didn't detect anything, at least no popup. Then I scanned the files and the VM and it found the infections. My virtual machine is running Windows XP home edition, I don't keep it updated but it does have SP2. I have realtime protection turned on and it isn't notifying. I also checked the service to make sure it was running and it was. If anyone can provide guidance that would be great.

Some errors occur when it opens Internet Explorer 8 for a full program update.

Internet Explorer 8 opens in a small window with all disabled and active toolbars at the same time and messages appear as if I had just installed all the toolbars and Internet Explorer 8 at that moment. After closing the erroneous window with Ctrl Alt Delete and opening IE8 normally it worked fine and returned to normal. This problem has ocurred two or three times.

Report Page

Just downloaded Obit 360 and ran it. Report page showed 24 problems. I navigated away from the report page thinking I could get back to it. How do you get back to the report page which lists problems? I ant to place them in quarantine.

When report page comes up only one option DELETE is given. Since 3 problems were dealing with the registery I did not want to delete. I left report page to find out how to quarantine the objects or how to backup these problems before I deleted them. Now I cannot find out how to return to the report page. Must be missing/not seeing something. Thanks

Error with newest update

Please post any problems or bugs with Security 360 in this thread. It will make it easier to keep track.

Thanks, samr.

Worked fine until newest update. Now I get thie message:

procedure entry point attachconsole could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll

My OS is windows 2000. Is the new upgrade incompatible and/or do I need to return to the old build? Is there a hot fix?

Okay, I'm using IS 360 1.0 which is not the beta one (I know this thread is for beta but I don't know where to post this)

I'm not sure is this normal or not, but I want to know, it's could be a bug, it's could be something that meant to do, but I'm not sure

Each time I scan a file, 360 use up a lot more rams, the more I scan, the more ram the program use, I closed the program and reopen again, it's back to normal, but I don't want that, I like this product too so I'm hoping this can be fix(assuming it's might be a bug)

Prove of ram usage

I know this is not the place but, I'm also hoping there is a setting which can let me set whether I want to scan cookies or not, cause I don't like scanning for cookies

Hi davis

I believe that IObit clearly states what the IObit products do - you can read it before you download the programs.

The prudent course after that is to read the manual.

Alternatively Online Help for IObit Software

As to the needs - only you can answer that :-)

But be aware that IS360 is NOT an antivirus program it is a malware program

ASC has more strings to its bow than IS360 but lack the heuristic scanning for spyware.

Smart Defrag is a Defragmentation program that can sort through the fragments that even normal operation of your computer generates.

If this explanation isn't satisfactorily explicit I advise you to read all the thread USAGE of IOBIT PRODUCTS located in the Lounge section. :-)

Cheers

solbjerg

I believe that IObit needs to define what each of their products does and how they relate to each other.

If I have 360, do I need Advanced System Care ? How about Smart Defrag?

Do I also need a anti virus like AVG?

So far,so good.I'm very interested in the remainder of the functions to come. The only little thing I noticed during the scan was the "wording" Fx. "Scanning Unwanted Files" and "Scanning Malware" these should include the word "for" so it would be "Scanning for Malware".The scan was fairly quick, and the only detections were that 360 doesn't like that I keep my Secuity Center disabled, and it seems threatened by the set-up file for Spyzooka.Other than that, pretty much an everyday ordinary security utility.

It confused me so much that I thought all my files were malware or viruses. So I posted the hijack log in an attempt to figure out which were legit. Still working on a few things with a very helpful member!

I'm suddenly having memory problems too. Sometimes I can't open any windows or even the task manager even with cntl alt del. Then sometimes is ok. I don't like this, I thought it was going to make my RAM better by swapping it back and forth or whatever it promised. Maybe I should turn that feature off.

You may have the ans by now.

Go to 'tools' (left menu), then select 'privacy sweeper' then uncheck the 'cookie files' on the browser that you use. This will be in left navigation.
